I'd like to install Hackintosh in an external drive connected to my dell xps 9560. Is there anything different from this guide that I should take into consideration?

I found a tutorial on tonymacx86 (https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-dell-xps-15-9560-4k-touch-1tb-ssd-32gb-ram-100-adobergb.224486/) which makes you install hackintosh on my pc but it replaces windows by formatting the whole drive.

I thought it would be nice to install it in a external drive to keep everything nice and separate. Should I do something different from this tutorial or I can simply follow it and select a different drive?

Please, explain it like I was 5, I a newbie in this topic
