Apple will replace the battery in your iPhone 6 or newer device for $29, regardless of battery health, according to an internal memo seen by iGeneration.The company recently launched a $29 battery replacement program after admitting that it been secretly slowing down devices as their batteries aged.
Despite the program, some Apple Stores were refusing to replace a battery for $29 if it still tested as healthy. Apparently, Apple has now internally clarified that if a user reports slower performance, their battery should be replaced at $29 regardless of its health check.
