Hey Guys So I've tried to convert my old HP EliteBook 840 G1 (i4 4200, Intel HD4400) to a Hackintosh (High Sierra) several times using different guides (like this one or this one ) but without luck. After I go through the installer, I get the BIOS-Error 502 resulting in a reset. I already posted here a couple days before but the solution didn't work (CMOS battery most definitely isn't dead, as I can start my USB-Linux without problems and can also install a new Windows on it).
I have the Install OS X.app from a real mac and put it on a USB. But as of right now, I don't really have access to a physical Mac anymore, but I do have a VM running OS X Sierra 10.12.6. Can I still use that downloaded .app file?
