Hello, I'm a newbie when it comes to macOS on custom rigs, but I got to install and run it without much trouble until... It crashes randomly. Why ??
Even by looking around the web for the similar issue, there was not really anything that could help me get this sorted out unfortunately.
Here's my rig : 2Tb 7200rpm HDD B85PRO-GAMER Motherboard Nvidia GTX770 GPU 3,2Ghz i5 CPU 8Gb DDR3 RAM
Okay so let me trace my steps back : - I've installed macOS Sierra on a new 2To HDD with unibeast, and got it running nicely on my first attempt. - Then I experienced some awful visual glitches, which was of course thanks to the graphics card I figured. - Followed some guides here and there (Youtube and Reddit mostly) about installing the right kexts and setup with Clover Configurator. Got Sound working, no more visual glitches (except at login screen)
It was kinda rough to understand on the spot, and messed A LOT with it, which may or may not have influenced the crashes, but wait, there was a pattern to the crashes ! And of course I don't understand jack because I'm a noob, All I know is to look on the Panic report, but it's hard to understand.
- Anyway, everytime I launch a video whether it be on Youtube, Quicktime, Premiere/After Effects... Anywhere that there is a media, it feels like it activates Unstable mode lol, and it hangs for 3 seconds and reboots just like that.
Since I planned to work on long video projects, I can't start or continue with the constant fear of losing all my work just like that... So I'm here to ask for your experienced insight and help.
Is there something I missed about the Nvidia WebDriver thingy ? or in Clover Configurator with the kexts ?
Thank you, and sorry in advance for being so vague... I'm a total noob lol
