New Monitor, Hotplug issues on boot.

I've been running a 1070 with 4 monitors (3x Dell U2515H (DP), 1x HP24ea (HDMI)). All works great, no issues with monitors forgetting where they should be, all come back fine from sleep.

Recently my improvised VESA mount for the 24ea broke (the less said about that the better...). Have moved one of the U2515s in place of the 24ea, and replaced it with an AOC AGON 32 Gaming monitor (wanted something reasonable that would run at QHD and 144hz). Nowhere near as nice as the Dells colour wise, but nice to use day to day as everything a bit more easily readable now.

I do now seem to be having an issue whereby UEFI / Clover will display fine on the AOC while booting (in the first DP port), however once it hits the OS X Login / Desktop, it refuses to acknowledge the presence of the monitor until I either power cycle the monitor, or remove / reinsert the DP. Have tried changing all the DP compatibility settings in the OSD with no avail (DP 1.1 compatibility etc, although think this is more for MST chains).

Is there any way to fix this? Is there any way to trigger a Detect Displays from the console that I can get it to run on boot as a bodge fix?
