Thinking of updating Sierra to High Sierra, anything I should do in preparation?

Motherboard: Z97X-UD5H

CPU: i5 4690k

GPU: GTX970

It's been awhile since I've messed with my Hackintosh, but I'm thinking about swapping my 970 GPU to a 1080, so in preparation I want to be on the latest OS to (hopefully) ensure the best compatibility. What do I have to do to have a successful and stress free update?

I'm assuming update to latest version of Clover, and grab this file and rename it to "apfs.efi" and then drop into EFI - CLOVER -drivers64UEFI. Anything I'm missing?
