At last I've built my first Hackintosh. This are the specs:
Almost everything works but there are a few problems that are giving me a headache:
This is the list of kexts I've now installed:
And this is my config.plist.
I'm starting to think that I've chosen the wrong motherboard. Although I'm aware chances are the motherboard is ok and I'm the one doing something stupidly wrong.
i tried to install macOS High sierra on my pc after i read about someone with a similar pc did it. specs: i7 7700 msi h270 16 gb vengeance ddr4 1 tb WD gtx 1060 6gb
i followed a guide, and all the installation went so fine, when i first booted with the usb i also saw that all the pci card (ethernet for example) and usb were recognized, ram and processor were okay so i copied the EFI folder of the usb to the efi folder of macOS and rebooted. I installed the nvidia web drivers for High Sierra 10.13.0 A365 (my version) and when i rebooted it shows the prohibition sign that i hate so much... i don't know why and how i can solve this, i can't even boot anymore so i'm asking for espert help! the guide i followed was: https://hackintosher.com/guides/high-sierra-install-full-guide/
So I made a second boot using a spare SSD I have with Vanilla High Sierra because I couldn’t get my 4K monitor to read as 4K on Mojave (I still have it on my Mojave Vanilla SSD though).
I used the same Vanilla install Method where it goes in depth step by step to release any issue. I’m guessing there’s just a few more steps that I need to do to get High Sierra running fully with my setup.
Issues so far, Audio (DP Audio not even recognized) iGPU not working, only shows 31MB. Flickering on the screen, using iMac 18,1 My 4K Monitor resolution is recognized automatically USB’s
My setup: Motherboard: Gigabyte Z370 Gaming 7 CPU: Intel i7-8700k Monitor: LG 27UK650 Mac OS X: 13.4
Any one get their setup up and running? I know High Sierra is a mature build I’m staying at 13.4 since I heard 13.5+ does have a few issues (I may be wrong). I have latest whatevergreen and Lilu kext as well.

I’m trying to see if my PC configuration will be compatible on making a hackintosh. PC Specs Motherboard: Asus Prime Z370-A CPU: Intel Core i5 8600k GPU: Nvidia GTX 1080TI (evga) RAM: 2x Corsair vengeance 16GB DDR4 3200Mhz I also have 2 16GB DDR4 2133Mhz sticks Storage: Samsung EVO 860 250GB SSD / 2TB SSHD 7200rpm
Please let me know if i’m able to run a successful hackintosh on this machine. And if so can I duel boot it with windows once i get MacOS on it?

Hi, I tried to install Hackintosh Mojave on my pc, it's all working but it continues to strutter and I can't understand how to use Clover. Please, can someone pm me and help me on Skype ? I need to finish important work with this pc please !

I am a long time user of a Hackintosh and over time you learn more and more about how hardware responds to drivers and different software. Even if you make a Hackintosh out of an old system that is collecting dust you should the learning curve when making it into an Apple system is priceless and makes you appreciate the system that bit more. I made a short video on Why Its Still Worth It To Make One on YouTube that you can go check out. The Hackintosh community is so helpful as well that's its hard to be stuck for long in the setting up process. Keep it real and keep hacking.

Hey All, I have just successfully Hackintosh/ed Mojave using the vanilla install. I build this computer for Logic Pro X and have already ran into some issues. An image is attached below... When I create a "NEW" project logic does not allow me to choose from some of their options. I don't know how to fix this issue. I just reinstalled Logic and and restoring the sample library to see if that may do the trick, but I honestly don't know. If there is anyone out there who can help me, that would be wonderful :) Thanks, https://i.redd.it/9dn4q1015i121.png Rey M [link] [comments] |
Hey all,
So I successfully booted my hackintosh with Mojave. I tried doing an iMessage fix and restarted my computer. In verbose mode it says “This version of MacOS is not supported on this platform. Reason: Mac-f42c88c8. With verbose off it just shows me a white stop symbol and reboots.
Now I don’t know how to fix it, but I believe what may have caused this issue is that when I was doing the iMessage fix, using clover config, I entered the wrong Mac model. I followed the exact instructions of this video https://youtu.be/3xn9CpRjkf4 what I didn’t do, is try to find the Mac that has my specific/or closest specs to my hardware.
If anyone has ran into this problem I would love help to get out of it.
Thanks,
Rey
Hello,
I recently wanted to install Mac OS High Sierra on my MSI GL62M 7RD. (i5-7300hq - GTX 1050 mobile | Intel HD 630)
I saw that a special config.plist was needed to boot (https://github.com/RehabMan/OS-X-Clover-Laptop-Config/blob/master/config_HD615_620_630_640_650.plist), I downloaded it and installed it , but it still doesn't work. I still have this error message "Service only ran for 0 seconds".
Can someone help me?
