Hi there!, I'm new to Hackintosh machines and I ran into a problem that I need some help with. I used the Morgonaut "vanilla" tutorial to instal of Mac OS Mojave on my system and it displays the apple load screen as shown but when the bar reaches about 60% it shows the stop sign. Also when I disable the inject Intel in clover boatloader before selecting a disk, the bar reaches about 95% and at that point the screen just goes black. No error and it does't reboot or come back on again. Hi there, just installed & got a Atheros AR5B95 to work on my device. Tried on both Mojave & Sierra with multiple apps, whenever i try to spoof the MAC address, wifi is broken (still active & seeing hotspots but can't connect to them or connect but not internet). I built this machine for my office late last year using the vanilla guide, and while the experience has been mostly smooth, I'm having a couple of consistent problems that I cannot solve despite several different troubleshooting steps (shifting machine definitions, adding FakeSMC/WhateverGreen). I understand that 10.6.7 is old, and doesn't have much driver support for newer hardware, but I thought I may give a shot asking someone if they have experience getting this to work. Hey r/hackintosh ! I will be attempting my first hackintosh this weekend! As an avid MacOS fan from previous years of use, I would really love to get back into using it again and not having to spend $1,000 on buying a new Mac. I typically don’t like buying used.. Anyway, I’ve recently acquired a Dell Inspiron notebook with a 4K display, i7 6th Gen(I can add more specs this evening), 8GB DDR3(not sure the frequency), and I slapped an EVO 850 SSD in for the drive. Now my main question is regarding the display. I looked through the forum(and google) and really couldn’t find an answer to my question on whether or not I’m going to have issues with the install due to the resolution of the display. Based on my experience, displays are a “plug and play” component of notebooks. Nothing too intensive there.. I’ve got a sturdy hack going but for the life of me I can’t get discord to recognize my microphone using AppleALC. It works with VoodooHDA, and to make things worse my microphone is recognized and works fine in the preferences, as well as in Audacity. I’ve tried uninstalling Discord (deleting the (~)/Library/Application Support/discord folders along with the app) and reinstalling fresh the latest version. I’ve tried resetting audio settings inside of discord, I’ve tried switching the sources around inside of discord. I got a crash log once that seemed to point to some ffmpeg problems inside the discord app. Could this be related to the fact that I’m using the vanilla patches from AMD-OSX? Hi guys; A few years ago I build a Hackintosh for my parents with this build; https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/pvK8KZ despite taking a while to set up, it worked pretty great, iMessage worked, got a bit warm but apart from that, not many issues. However, they are now in need of a bigger hard drive and so I am going to upgrade the build to a 1tb SSD and might as well get the OSX as modern as possible while I'm at it. All the data is backed up on a time capsule and so I was wondering is it just best to start again? And if so, it's been a while since I've done it and have forgotten most about all the stuff that needs doing, would the system I have still be compatible with Mojave? I'm running Mojave on a Hackintosh Z370 Asus Formula with Sapphire 580 graphics card and Intel 8700 processor. In previous years I've run a separate install on a separate drive for beta versions of new software releases. I've used a separate EFI folder with clover on the beta drive for booting so I can make any changes required to run the beta software effectively. However I've always shared the same build type and serial number and UUID etc with my main build. My question is would it be better to use a different serial number etc. for the beta build to avoid any conflicts with my working main build?
