Greetings frens! I have a question that bugz me so I wanted to address it to this community. I will call things with their real names, so if I penalize any rules, forgive me. First timer. Long story short - long time hackintosh user. UniBeast and MultiBeast seems to work best for me. Specs: Haswell CPU i7 4790 (non K version) MOBO AsRock Z97 Anniversary RAM 32 GB Corsair 1333/1600 MHz with XMP1.3 GPU Asus Strix RX 470 8GB OC Works like butter. As I am in many hackintosh channels and subreddits etc. I see rise of OpenCore. I read that it's the ultimate way to bring macOS to its potential. I've watched some basic OpenCore installations and I get the fundamentals behind it. My question is how big or small of an improvement I will get if I successfully manage to install it? Not that it's not good right now, but I feel I am not covering all components to their potential with tonymac... I'm using it generally for music making and some web surfing. All SSDs and HDDs...

I'm doing a fresh install of Catalina on a new build following the tonymacx86 guide . I can get to the Apple logo screen, but when the loading bar is a little over half full my screen cuts to black and then the computer restarts 5-10 minutes later. Hello everyone! Yesterday I installed hackintosh (Catalina 10.15 after that updated to 10.15.6). Everything seems fine until I try to play couple of games. When I run a game, no glitches spotted but when I start a video on youtube (Some music) or friend shares screen in discord it starts insanely glitch. I've followed this guide and installed macOS Catalina in the VMware player on AMD CPU. It boots fine and I even got VMware tools to work. The problem is that a keyboard and a mouse are working about 1 out of 100 times, it's pretty random and I can't understand how to get it to work. Have a Dell T3610 with an E5-1620 v2 CPU, is there a way to enable XCPM or am I stuck with AICPUPM? Everything I can find online mentions Ivy Bridge-E is compatible, but nothing about Ivy Bridge-EP, and I haven’t had any luck making it work. I am trying to change from clover to Opencore on my already working Mojave hackintosh. I want to test Opencore before I upgrade my main rig. The computer is a Broadwell i3 5005U mini pc. Works flawlessly with clover. I am able to boot into Opencore and get to the installer screen from a USB. However, if I take the same EFI that works on the USB and use it on my already installed SSD I get this error at boot then it restarts to BIOS in a loop. I followed the vanilla guide through multiple times and thought it would just work fine but it won't even boot. I can't find anything on google relating to this error. Does it 7 times. Hey all, After reading a bit about open core and seeing prices on these Optiplexes I finally pulled the trigger. I got an OptiPlex 9020 with i7 4770. Threw in 16 GB of ram and a 1TB SSD and set in for what I figured would be a tough weekend project! I actually have gotten farther tonight than I anticipated, all the way to the macos install screen. The only problem was I had no mouse/keyboard any longer. I have noticed my usb mouse loses power after I start the install from opencore. I also have to unplug and plug my install drive in at one point every time to get past it. At this point I’m considering starting over fresh instead of modifying the Optihack that was posted here awhile ago. Anyone have any experience with these Optiplexes and USB? It's usually considered impossible to get internal SD card readers working, but I just realised that mine seems to be working on Big Sur Beta 5. It never worked on Catalina or Mojave, so I'm pretty happy. Has anyone else noticed this? Hi, I had good signal with my Magic Mouse and magic keyboard both at around -50db, but now today the Magic Mouse sits at around -70db making it virtually unusable. It’s weird that the keyboard does not have any issues.... I swapped my Magic Mouse for the magic track pad and it was fine for a few hours and then out of no where same issue.... mouse is super laggy across the screen I just got my hack working on Wednesday night and I had placed it on top of my 8in studio monitor not realizing how much vibration the bass would cause. I’m wondering If the vibration dislodged the antenna cables that come out of the m.2 WiFi/BT card? I upgraded my PC from a Z97 motherboard and i5-4690K CPU to a Z390 motherboard and 9600K CPU. I was able to preserve my Windows installation with few problems except for the expected driver issues for new hardware. Before I swapped motherboards, my install of High Sierra had been working flawlessly. But when I tried to boot OS-X, it fails to boot almost immediately. I originally installed it as a stand-alone OS. (I unplugged every other drive before installation). I have to start it from the BIOS/UEFI boot menu when I start my PC. All I get though is a very brief Apple Logo, then a circle with an slash. I have checked online to try to make sure I have the BIOS settings correct for my new motherboard. Things like disable Vt-d ect. But I always get the same result with the circle-slash boot failure. I imagine I will need to re-install from scratch, but I was just wondering if anyone might have an easy fix for this issue so I can save myself the hassle of reinstalling. My Specs: OS-X...
