Me and my friend are trying to hackintosh his laptop it’s an acer aspire 5 a515-45 to be exact CPU:AMD Ryzen 5 5500u (zen 2 17h) GPU: AMD APU I’ve been trying for the past few months the most successes I had with was Catalina as far as I know I need usb x and cpur ssdts And fake ec laptop for Catalina I’ve also gotten some nvme assert fails errors. Hello After years of headaches, I managed to set up my Ryzentosh with an iGPU (post will follow later) Unfortunately, I have the problem that I don’t have a Wifi card or dongle and I transfer myself to my PC via tethering USB. I updated the OC and kexts to the latest version. Config validates without any error. On the drive from Ventura everything works perfectly. On the drive from Sonoma I have no Displayport or HDMI working on the RX 560 card. anyone have any idea how to fix this? On the DVI of the graphics card only the auxiliary 21" monitor works for me but on the same port if I connect a 27" monitor it doesn't work anymore. I recently installed bootcamp on my MacBook and got Windows 10 running. Now when I try to boot into the MacOS, I get a " your computer restarted because of a problem, press any key or wait to continue starting up". I wait and it starts to load again but then the error message is repeated. Over and over and over. Hey guys, I’ve recently installed Sonoma 14.0 release. Now I’ve run into a small issue, it’s super slow, boots slow, and super laggy. What I’ve done: Verbose on Newest kext(s) EFI for my specific device. Toggling trim on and off, trying multiple m.2 nvme ssds Everything works fine, just super slow and takes a long time to boot, I get 1.5gbps up and down which is my internet plan currently, my SSD is a WD black sn730, I’ve got a i5 8365U, 24GB of DDR4 2400 ram, and newest OpenCore version. Opencore latest+t480+bigsur hackintosh user here. System was running smoothly for 2 yrs until i just updated kexts to latest versions and swicthed between itlvm kexts for experimentation on performance. Used to do that with success over several months but this time opencore is bricked. Cant go past apple logo, even the slider didnt start. Since I'm travelling and have no backup efi usb with me i am stuck. Somehow the open core menu seems prematurely setup and cant go into rexovery, verbose or command line either. Tried to disable wireless from bios but didnt help. Any suggestions to try? İ wish there was something like "last known good boot" options to be saved and reused as necessary. I recently fixed my EFI file, from not booting to now being able to install macos. I'm trying to install ventura, but, after getting the message of 12 minutes, my laptop (razer blade 14 2017) rebooted, and I got one now option: MacOS Installer. I entered on that option, thinking that is the correct one i should choose, since my computer restarted when downloading. That option will return the message i on the title, its on the picture, and if i enter on the 2nd option, i just get the same screen for disk utility and reinstall macos. Is there any particular reason why this is happening? I think its also important to note that i will dual boot macos and windows, so maybe that could be causing some trouble? I installed Hackintosh Ventura on my i3 6th gen PC but can't get the wifi to work. I've tried the Airportltlwm and itlwm kexts but still didn't work. When I open Heliport, it says itlwm is not running. So, I'm not sure if the kexts are working or not but I installed them properly. I've just upgraded macOS to Sonoma 14.0 on opencore 0.9.5 and it went smooth. Fixed the wifi issue now i'm facing a problem (that i got also in the previous release): the half screen green glitch with hevc and heif files. And so also with the new Sonoma wallpapers and screensaver videos. Hello Hackintosh community, I have a MacBook Air Mid-2013 with 4GB of RAM and a 1.3 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5 (Turbo Boost up to 2.6 GHz). My goal is to use Universal Control with this MacBook and my iPad Pro 2020 , as I often need this feature. Is it possible to achieve this with this MacBook or is it too old?
