Hello, i really need some help. I have a Late 2015 27inch iMac running Monterey 12.7.4. I am an absolute novice to most computer things and definitely OpenCore but being stubborn I have been trying to find a way to use this iMac as a monitor for my MacBook Pro. I found this YouTube link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sO0yc3_hOE8 and thought fantastic! I'll try it. So I used the latest patch showing in the link provided in the video and followed the videos instructions of creating the boot drive and running the program by choosing to boot to that drive and YAY! it worked. There was airplay and I could connect to it. I didn't have a lot of time, so I just put my laptop away and went back to using my 2015 iMac with two external displays as I always have — I did not boot out of OpenCore—and 24 hours later in mid-use <poof> no more external displays. How feasible would it be to port over freeBSD gpu drivers to MacOS via kexts (or other methods) to MacOS, in order to have working drivers for natively unsupported gpu’s? I managed to configure this Hackintosh with an RX 6650 XT graphics card using the Nootrx kext. I tried other methods, but they didn't work. Eventually, I succeeded. However, I encountered two issues: 1. iMessage isn't working, and 2. it runs slower compared to Windows. Regarding performance, I suspect it might be because of the slow SSD (Emtec X150 250GB), but otherwise, it seems to function normally. Hello guys, my question is here in the hackintosh sub because I never used a real Mac and don’t know if this happens with them. When I have a fresh stalled system, install Microsoft office, per example,then I start word, it will only open after about 20 seconds. After the first time the app will open faster, but if I reboot the system, here comes the 20 seconds. The question is, is this how it really works, I need to let the apps open when my system is booting for them to open faster, I never made a good Hackintosh, my ssd is low quality or anything else? My 2014 Macbook air running Macos Ventura through OpenCore 1.4.3 is crashing when I try to run OpenEmu 2.4.1 The OpenCore patches are all installed correctly and from what I saw the HD5000 video drive is already running with acceleration activated. Every time I try to run a game it gives an error regardless of the emulation core I use. Hi, I am preparing to do s 14700k, Asus z790 creator, red devil 6950 XT build. Very confused about 6950 XT. I have read that spoofing isn't needed if symbios 1.1. Also read spoofing is good idea if you also have dual windows boot. Just yesterday I did install macOS Monterey to my workstation and choose MacPro6,1 (Mac Pro 2013) SMBIOS, pre-checked the serial number and it was wrong, but sometime after this, I see notification that I can purchase Apple Care+ and get shocked about this. I did immediately checked apple website and somehow I got warranty on my "Mac Pro". Can someone explain me for it? Hello, I was tempted to buy a mac mini Late 2014 and use opencore to install sonoma but was advised that i would have terrible performance with it, so i’ve decided do this instead. Requirement 1: Budget around £250 with some slack. I will be buying all used parts of course. Requirement 2: SFF size, compact GPU.
