Monterey not detecting connected I devices

I installed 12.7.3 Monterey on a 2010 13” MacBook Pro and when connecting an iPad (iOS 17) it is not recognized by the Mac. The iPad shows that it’s charging though sometimes it shows the message of “Not charging”
