I have OpenCore Legacy Patcher v2.1.2 running on a MacPro6,1 (aka the Late 2013 trashcan Mac Pro) allowing it to run Sequoia 15.1.1. Except for a few oddities, most related to the graphics 3D acceleration, everything runs very acceptably. Super kudos to the dev team maintaining this; love you all. Every time I restart, when I get back to the desktop all the apps open at shutdown start up and generally try to return to their positions. Once the last app starts, they all hide, complete with genie effect as they swoop down to the dock, and I'm left with an empty desktop. I can click on all of them in the dock and they all pop back up where they are supposed to be like nothing happened. It's been like this for a while, through multiple updates to both MacOS and OCLP. Hi, I'm currently attempting hackintoshing a HP 260 G1 mini , it has an Intel core i3 4030u with an HD4400, this hardware was dropped in ventura but I've seen that it is possible to patch it with OCLP, but when I installed the root patch and rebooting it would just get stuck at random during boot. My current SMBIOS is a MacbookPro14,1, the opencore guide suggested the Macmini7,1 smbios on NUCs but I couldn't get it to boot at first, I added the no_check_compat boot arg and it booted but the installar errored out saying that it couldn't retrieve info about the hardware I was using. I'll try my best to try every solution. I ran into a big problem. Yesterday I did the hackintosh properly. But I deleted one of the KEXT files and restarted again. But when the device was turned on, the Hackintosh would not boot anymore. I tried to reinstall, but when the setup came up, I went into Disk Utility, but it didn't show any drivers to install. I tried to do this again, but this page comes up. Hi OCLP folks, I have a MacMini5,3, mid-2011 server, stock standard, non-metal Intel HD3000 graphics, 8GB RAM, no SSD. Running High Sierra. Recently attempted to upgrade via OCLP to Sequoia, and while it installed - there were some issues that made it unusable. Even after installing the root patches etc. My main issue is with my non-metal graphics. All the menus were laggy, and Apple Remote Desktop / Screen Sharing does not work (just get a black screen on client). I'm OK with the spinning HDD speed issues (taking forever to boot and index etc). However, the lack of ARD is a show stopper for me. Can anyone weigh in any experience on which would be the latest OS version for a non-metal machine of this vintage, which should run "OK"-ish, and most importantly, have functioning ARD/Screen Sharing support? Hello all, I recently successfully patched Monterey onto my MacPro 3,1. Everything including the Nvidia metal and wifi works fine, however the bluetooth icon has a little cross through it, and I can't turn it on in settings. Is there any way of fixing this i'm unaware of? I've tried doing an NVRAM reset already, so I don't know what could be the problem. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the root patches. Basically its a hp notebook laptop with Windows 11 and admin accounts all have passwords, can access a user account but cannot edit group policy, use cmd prompt, powershell doesnt have enough permissions, lusrmgr is blocked among other things, its also on a domain, up till now I've succeeded with using the recovery mode and then the utilman cmd replacer but now the recovery cmd prompt loads into X:\boot drive and both c and d drives cant be accessed from recovery, even though they can be accessed in usual windows but cant be edited, additionally they are both in NTFS and suspiciously, whenever i go into F11 in safe mode a cmd runs (cant see what it does) and then the the recovery mode opens, I cant understand how to hack it. (Note:There is no mouse for some reason but i get by with using tab, also I can access X:\ drive's registry editor but not the other's. Also there is no option to factory reset it either. USB's are blocked usually but can be used in X:\ Drive.) ...

Thank you for the recommendations. I tried PhotoRec first, and it was a bit tricky to understand the ‘interface’ and recovery process, but I figured it out and managed to recover about 70% of the lost photos, and even some old photos from other shoots. After that, I scanned the card with Disk Drill, it was A LOT easier to use, lol. It found all the missing photos and was able to preview them. Now I’m thinking about buying the Pro version to recover everything… Thanks, everyone, for the advice and recommendations! After reading multiple threads about people seeing great improvements after upgrading to sequoia, I took the chance and I upgraded on my 2013 13 inch MacBook Pro i7 with 16 gigs of RAM (the max allowable) along with a 1TB SSD so trust my machine is mint. The performance decreased. It was not faster for me on my machine. It was slower.right clicking on desktop appeared to be snappy but overall performance was not. Everything ran slowER. Still performed decent but definitely not better than Sonoma on my machine.
