I'm putting this here because let's face it, we're the ones buying up G5s like there's no tomorrow! Mac Of All Trades is selling WORKING G5s for $69+shipping, which for me works out to be $102 shipped. They are in good condition ("no significant cosmetic defects"), and have all the original components if you want to re-use anything. They will also be compatible with the front ATX conversion cables from BlackCH and Alohacab. Hello everyone (not sure if this or Graphics is the correct section), I have the following monitor that comes with integrated speakers, but they work only with DisplayPort or HDMI since there is no audio input jack (oh my god why?!). So my question is, how can I use DisplayPort/HDMI to transfer also audio signals? hello everyone I am sorry if this is a common question but i have installed iAtkos s3 version 2 via dvd with no issues after a bit of research, I am now trying to install iAtkos ml2 via usb stick i have made the image file and boot from usb drive i then get 2 options one to boot from my previous installation of iatkos s3 or the mountain lion usb drive. I select the usb drive and with in a few seconds i get a kernel panic telling me to hold down the power button ect.. and restart can someone shed some light on this install issue my hackingtosh is a Dell optiplex 745 Intel Pentium D (Dual core) processor speed 3.4 GHZ Thanks to anyone who can assist me source

Hi, I installed iDeneb 10.5.8 on Acer AO722 netbook. Everything seems to be working normally. The problem is i got 1024x768 resolution only without Quartz Extreme/Core Image enabled & i didn't find any compatible kext for this card & there is no graphics enabler for this card on osx86 or any other mac sites. Hi, everyone! I'll start at the end on this one. My end goal is to get my graphics card working with OS X. I am using an AMD 7870 Eyefinity 6 on a GA Z77-DS3H motherboard with an i7 3770k processor. I have tried looking through kext files to add a Device ID, but only ATI7000Controller.kext had Device ID strings. That one included 0x68181002 in the strings section, so I don' t think that should be the problem. I also checked ATIFramebuffer.kext and ATISupport.kext, but neither of them had Device ID strings. I've tried Chameleon, Chimera, and Clover, but none of them work. Chameleon and Chimera, I could only get mirrored screens working in Safe Mode, but nothing working otherwise. Under these conditions, it would not recognize my graphics card as anything other than AMD, it does not detect any kexts, and it tells me I have 3MB of vram. With Clover, I can get it to boot, but it gives me either a blank white or black screen, depending on settings. I can still operate volume con...

I finally did it. I got an iMac. Let me explain. Since 2009, I have only had hackintosh desktops. Of course, I've also owned an iBook, MacBook, two MacBook Pros, three iPads, four iPods and three iPhones in that time, but as far as desktops go, I've always stuck with building hackintoshes. Obviously like many others, the performance/cost ratio has always been so appealing, but I also love to build and mod, so it was the perfect fit. Currently I have a dual-core hackintosh in a Mac Pro case, and it looks like a beast, but it's hard to move. I've had a couple of issues with it (sleep, USB weirdness, video weirdness) but nothing that was unfixable if I gave it the chance. I also have started giving photoshop lessons locally, and although I've had plenty of compliments (and conversations) about my Mac Pro hack, I HATE transporting it, along with my monitor and speakers (for video presentations). Hi everyone, I have a gigabyte GA-Z77-DS3H motherboard and it only has 4 SATA ports. I would like to add some more, and I have a Rosewill RC-216 RAID card with 2 internal and 2 external SATA ports. It is recognized by the BIOS along with drives I connect to it, but they don't show up in OSX. Does anyone have any recommendations on how to make this card work, or another card that I could buy that would be compatible? It was recommended to use Multibeast to install the 3rd Party SATA driver, which I did to no avail. However, when looking in the system profiler/system report, the card actually does show up as JMicron JMB363 AHCI now, with a 3 GB/s speed. Just no drives showing up in OSX.
