NVidia web drivers won't enable in Sierra
Image
So I have a GTX 1050, and I installed the latest web drivers, however, in the top right of the screen when I click on the NVIDIA logo it shows that I still have "OS X DEFAULT GRAPHICS DRIVER" selected, instead of "NVIDIA WEB DRIVER". I have enabled nvda_drv=1 and have checked Inject System ID and Nvidia web under system parameters. What am I missing? When I try to change it to Nvidia web drivers in the top right, it tells me to restart, but then when I do it doesn't actually change them. Thanks!!! submitted by /u/Spartacus3611 [link] [comments] [► Source]

Anyone need a FV-T919?
Image
Hi guys, I ordered a Fenvi FV-T919 card off AliExpress for my hack but I ended up ordering the OSXWifi version because I was too impatient to wait (my build's been done for about a month now:D) and then forgot all about it. I just got a package from China in my mailbox, and I opened it up and lo and behold, it finally came! Not looking to make any money on it, but I paid like $69 bucks for it so I'd be willing to ship it USPS Priority (CONUS) for $80 and lose a few dollars, and if anyone needs one they could skip the month + wait. I'm not sure if I'm ok to post this here but I looked in the rules and didn't see anything; if there's no interest I guess I'll just keep it for the inevitable day that I build a second hack! xP submitted by /u/b3np4rk [link] [comments] [► Source]
System uptime in nanoseconds, no kext summary
Image
I'm trying to hackintosh but I come across the "Cant perform kext scan: no kext summary." I googled this and saw that it's a RAM problem, and that I had to edit the config.plist and add a Memory key. Well, that didn't work. I even had multiple configs with slightly modified "Memory" sections and selected which config to use but nothing would do. I have 2 slots, dual channel, 2x8GB. I'm able to get to the installer if I take out Channel B but I would like to use the 16GB total. submitted by /u/eXoguti097 [link] [comments] [► Source]
Why did you make your hackintosh?
Image
Just curious to hear the motivation from the community. Mine was because I got into software development and wanted to try out macOS since so many developers preferred it (I now understand why). I consider it my gateway drug since I've since bought a tbMBP to replace my Asus Zenbook running Mint. I'm now going to be running my hackintosh for machine learning since most of the frameworks prefer (or require) a linux/OSX environment and I want a machine that will be more reliable than ubuntu distributions with less driver issues. submitted by /u/Kiriesh [link] [comments] [► Source]

Can I hackintosh this PC by any chance?
Image
I was recently given a Lenovo Thinkpad T400 from 2008 as a gift. I really like the feel of Windows 7 and would much prefer if I could add Mac Os to it. It has an Intel Core 2 Duo P8400 2.26 GHz Processor, 3gb of DDR2 ram at 106 mhz. The graphics I think are 256MB ATI Radeon 3470HD and has intergraded graphics of Intel GMA 4500MHD. Is there anything I can do, or is Linux my best option. submitted by /u/Patch3459 [link] [comments] [► Source]

Help understanding config.plist
Image
So this past week I've been really getting into Hackintoshs, however, I've come to learn that depending on your plist on your clover usb boot disk, you may or may not even get into the installer. Is there a way to make a more universal PLIST that helps me get into the installer and then I can customize my plist afterwards? I have an old intel core 2 duo machine I'm trying to get Hackintosh Sierra running on. submitted by /u/Spartacus3611 [link] [comments] [► Source]
Asus Notebook Hackintosh

I have an Asus VivoBook X202e and I was curious if it would be hackintoshable. It has an Intel Core i3 Ivy Bridge CPU, Intel HD 4000 graphics, 4GB of RAM, and a 500GB hard disk. I tried googling it and idk if I just didn't understand what I was as reading but I wanted to check with people who would know better than me. Is there any way to control GPU RGB lighting?
Image
I've just upgraded to a Palit 1070, which seems to be a wonderful graphics card so far. However, it has a green lighting scheme as default. Maybe the color is connected to GPU temp but I never stress it from Mac OS som I'm not certain. From windows, this is controlled via the manufacturer's software, but does anyone here know of a way to change, or turn off, the RGB lighting from within MacOS? submitted by /u/MrHarakiri [link] [comments] [► Source]
Check Out These Two iPhone Prototypes Used to Design Its Software Keyboard [Photo]

Ken Kocienda, a Human Interface designer who worked at Apple for over 16 years, has shared a photo of two iPhone prototypes used to design its software keyboard. The iPhone was a great project to work on, and a great team of people to work with. Happy 10th birthday. Here are two iPhone prototypes. We called them Wallabies. I used these devices to make the software keyboard. OSX Disk not showing up after installation with Unibeast
Image
Hey guys, first Hackintosh with some older but OSX friendly (or so I've been told) parts. I'm desperate for help here. Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R rev 2.0 Intel i7-950 Quad Core 3,2GHz GeForce GTX460 1024MB 16GB DDR3 Mostly used this guide. Tried installing El Capitan, as well as Yosemite with the Unibeast installer. I tried it on my Samsung SSD first, but later thinking the SSD was the problem I tried it on a 1TB HDD. Tested all SATA ports. It's always smooth sailing until I have to reboot after the installation. When I open Unibeast, it doesn't show me my OSX HDD to boot into. Diskutil recognizes and lets me partition and erase the disk as I please, though. My BIOS settings are pretty much these ones, disabled any SATA ports that aren't being used. AHCI is active, of course. I'd appreciate any and all help, guys. Thanks so much. submitted by /u/dudeitsallama [link] [comments] [► Source]
