Vivo today announced its Time of Flight (TOF) 3D Sensing Technology which features 10X more sensor points than Apple's Face ID. Vivo's pioneering TOF 3D Sensing Technology detects the time it takes emitted pulse light to return to the sensor to accurately map objects at up to three meters in front of it. As a datum, I only made this graphic work through HDMI and with the flag GraphicsEnabler=No, but despite this everything seems to work perfectly. Apple is expected to release new iPads with Face ID, a lower priced MacBook Air, and an Apple Watch with a larger display in the second half of 2018, according to research note from TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. The well respected Apple analyst offered numerous other tidbits about the company's future plans in a note that was obtained by MacRumors. Kuo said that next year's iPhones will have 'marked innovations' but believes those enhancements won't be clear until around September or October of this year. Apple is expected to sell more LCD-based models than OLED-based models in 2019. The Wi-Fi Alliance has begun certifying devices that work with its next generation WPA3 Wi-Fi security protocol. Building on the widespread adoption of WPA2 over more than a decade, WPA3 adds new features to simplify Wi-Fi security, enable more robust authentication, and deliver increased cryptographic strength for highly sensitive data markets. As the Wi-Fi industry transitions to WPA3 security, WPA2 devices will continue to interoperate and provide recognized security. WPA3 security has two modes of operation, WPA3-Personal and WPA3-Enterprise.
