Hi everyone. I am currently running my Hackintosh through a 2009 iMac 27" for display purposes. I know very little about monitors/displays so would a IPS 1440 27 or 28 be a good replacement quality wise for my current display. I never use the iMac anymore except for as a display so I think the time has come to get rid and buy a monitor. The issue is that the iMac is used for photography editing so I need to keep a quality screen. I tried my sons monitor (1080p) but the quality is just not as good. I am trying to get the above mentioned Wi-Fi card to work on my Dell XPS L521X but I am not having much luck. With the methods found online so far, I have managed to get Wi-Fi to work, but only on 2.4 GHz. I have not managed to change the country code with any method that I have found. I'm new to Hackintosh and tried installing Mojave via this tutorial on youtube ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fA9AotXqkqA&t=572s ), but when booting into Clover and starting the installation with 'boot with selected options' I only get to a gray screen after a lot of code has run through. I'm using iMac 13,2 as SMBIOS and did install Whatevergreen, Lilu and FakeSMC as kexts. Am I doing something wrong? I recently added Rehabman's HWSensors (with the FakeSMC package and all) and now I noticed that my rear fan doesn't work. It stops spinning the moment I log in. I tried both with my compiled power management SSDT (generated ssdtPRGen.sh) and with PluginType=true. Removing all FakeSMC_*Sensors.kext (aside FakeSMC.kext there) from EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other fixes the issue. Just built a new hack, i9-9900k with RX580 and 64gb ram. Getting choppy ram preview playback in after effects. Even with 25% frame size and 1/3 resolution. Anyone else had an issue like this? Apple has confirmed that it plans to layoff 190 employees from its self-driving car division in Santa Clara and Sunnyvale, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. News of the layoffs was first reported by CNBC in January. The layoffs were disclosed, along with new details, in a letter this month to the California Employment Development Department. CNBC reported last month that layoffs were occurring in the self-driving car division, known as Project Titan. Tom Neumayr, an Apple spokesman, confirmed that the letter to the state referenced the same layoffs. The cuts take effect on April 16th. Included in the 190 affected employees are 38 engineering program managers, 33 hardware engineers, 31 product design engineers and 22 software engineers. Hey guys - So I have a NZXT s340 elite case and just bought and installed two Noctua case fans (both PWM - 1x120mm, 1x140mm) ​ The 120mm exhaust fan works correctly in Windows so I know this is a macOS issue. As soon as I boot into macOS (past the clover boot menu) the fan gets very slow. Don't know the exact RPM since this fan doesnt show up in HWMonitor (The 140mm does) but its definitely a lot slower than the BIOS settings. Sometimes the fan just stops completely as well. ​ Both fans are connected to the 4 pin fan connections on the motherboard. I have the mobo fans as well as the case fans all set up in PWM mode in the BIOS since they are PWM fans. Haven't tried changing them to DC since I think macOS wont pick them up. ​ My Kexts/plugins: AppleALC FakeSMC_CPUSensors FakeSMC_GPUSensors FakeSMC_LPCSensors FakeSMC IntelMausiEthernet Lilu USBInjectAll WhateverGreen I've removed FakeSMC_ACPISensors and FakeSMC_SMMSensors just to play around with it and ...

Recently I purchased a m.2 NVMe drive, installed it, cloned my hackintosh drive over, and then marveled in the speed in which the new drive booted. 24 hours later it appears to have died. Normally in this situation I would diagnose a dead drive by trying it somewhere else but I don't have a second slot to test it to make sure it's the drive 100%.
