So I upgraded my Early 2009 Mac mini to Monterey using OCLP, I followed the tutorial and all went well everything seems to be working well, I know have a 2011 iMac on the way will I be able to install Monterey onto this using the thumb drive as it is or is the build created specific to the hardware it is created on. I could see the normal windows boot option, the ubtunu boot option, but not the OpenCore boot option that should appear (I did make sure the USB was properly plugged in and that the problem wasn't with the USB port). I've finally finished my semi-succesfull Hackintosh, but there's one issue. The laptop freezes seemingly randomly. I’m at a loss with this iMac. Since 0.6.8 (obviously currently trying 1.4.2) I have been trying to install an update OS and I can’t. I can get High Sierra on it but nothing above that. I have an iMac 12,2 with intel i7, 16GB RAM AMD 6770M and 500GB internal SSD. I have followed the videos from Mr. Macintosh and run into the same issues consistently. I have used different drives to create my OCLP install disk and still nothing. I have removed the RAM, reset NVRAM three times before I start the installs and nothing. I have tried Monterey, Ventura and Sonoma 14.3 and nothing. The closest I have gotten was Monterey but when it finished the install and goes to load it hangs at about a quarter of the loading and then reboots and does this as a cycle. I tired to make an EFI using Dortania's guide I was able to do it but when I made the usb installer ydah ydah... It gave me the warning (1st pic) so what I did was in my config.plist 'Vault' under Misc->Security. Instead of 'Secure' set it to 'Optional' I did this but I ran into the issue (2nd pic). I am currently running Sonoma 14.4.4 on my XPS 15 7590 with a 4k OLED-non-touch and everything is working except for the screen's backlight control. So far I've tried manually creating the SSDT-PNLF , disabled the Nvidia GPU with SSDT-dGPU-Off.dsl and SSDT-NoHybGfx.dsl , boot-arg -igfxblr and -igfxblt (separately and both).
