I've posted here before and finally had time to work on setting up my Hackintosh yesterday and today. Since there is no TTT option for previous posts I am submitting this current post.
I've used the Vanilla guide by member /u/corpnewt
So far I have:
Built the USB installer
Installed Clover
moved kexts (AppleALC, FakeSMC, Lilu, NvidiaGraphicsFixup, and USBInjectAll) to /EFI/Clover/kexts/other directory of the USB installer
used Clover Configurator but was not sure if I should go with iMac15,1 or iMac14,2 SMBIOS as I have i5-4690k and gtx 1060. Eventually went with the iMac15,1 and saved config.plist to desktop
looked like I would need a text editor so I installed BBedit in a MacOSX Sierra VM
For fun I tried booting from my newly created Sierra USB Installer with SMBIOS iMac15,1. I barely get in a few seconds and then cycle of system reboots occurs. I notice in the guide by /u/corpnewt there is a "Haswell" specific section which includes SSDT Drop Tables, Boot Args, Audio, Graphics, and KernelandKextPatches. Will I need to insert these into the config.plist that I saved on my desktop? I am a little bewildered by what a finished config.plist should look like with my build! Any help is welcome. Thank you!
