Help, I can't get the installer booted on my PC

Hello all. This is my first attempt at a hackintosh and I have been having a few issues.

I get the boot USB drive all set up and then when I try and boot into the installer it always freezes almost immediately. I have an i7 7700k so I know I need to fake the CPU ID and I have tried but I'm not sure if i did it correctly and so far I have had a hard time finding a clear step by step guide for that part of the process.

Any help y'all could provide would be greatly appreciated as I am pretty comfortable with poking around my computers and trial and error but I'm a little out of my wheelhouse now.
