Am I going insane or is my hackintosh ever so slightly slower than a real mac?

Running an Hackintosh over DisplayPort on a Acer 4K Monitor with an Unlocked Skylake i5 and a GTX 1080. NVIDIA web drivers are installed and CineBench scores are within expected ranges. However system feels ever so slightly laggy compared to an iMac 5K I use at work. It wouldn’t normally be noticeable it’s just I use the iMac 5K everyday and it feels 10% smoother. I suspect CoreImage not being fully compatible with NVIDIA but that could be complete nonsense. Anyone on this subreddit with obscure knowledge on Mac OSX graphics would be greatly appreciated to clarify why this may be happening.
