Setup: CLOVER, Sierra
Problem: The options in VoodooHDA are not being saved on reboot, especially the option about input gain (iGain): https://i.imgur.com/UBdeDZp.png
I can set it fine, but as soon as i reboot, it's back to 90.
I've googled this a lot and found a lot of sources telling me that all I need to do is edit the kext and run VoodooHdaSettingsLoader on login (E.g. see here: https://www.reddit.com/r/hackintosh/comments/3ofad6/voodoohda_and_sound_settings_not_saving_after/)
I've edited the file:
System/Library/Extensions/VoodooHDA.kext/Contents/Info.plistso that "iGain" is set to 0 instead of 90. The change in the file stays on reboot, so I've only had to edit it once.I've set the VoodooHdaSettings thing to load on login: https://i.imgur.com/q9UkxkS.png
When i reboot, prefpane reports input gain to be set to 90 again. If i manually run the VoodooHdaSettings application, it does NOT change it anyway - The only way i can change it is by opening prefpane and manually moving the slider.
I've mounted my EFI partition and looked in the CLOVER/kexts and found a realtekALC kext (I think i added it once, but i honestly cant remember): https://i.imgur.com/QSGwJ6h.png
It only contains an info file and it doesnt seem to have anything related to input gain.. But maybe this is overriding something?
Anyone got any idea what i can do?
