Issues with Sierra Security Update 10.12.6

Hi,

I just recently got the security update and seem to be running into some issues. I have a Dell Studio XPS 8300. It runs a 2nd generation i7 processor. Previously it was running fine on El Capitan and Sierra (prior to the security update). Sometimes, I get a kernel panic with AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement. Reinstalling the NullCPUPowerManagement seems to do it (not entirely sure?). However, it reoccurs later and reinstall seems to do the trick again(?). Any ideas on what the issue could be?
