Hi. So, I've been trying to get my iMessage and FaceTime to work. So far, I've obtained the correct serial number and set my current internet network to en0. However, when I try to sign in to iMessages, I get a dialog box saying that 'This Mac cannot connect to the iCloud because of a problem with <my Apple ID>'. Then, I get two options, Later or Change iCloud Settings or something like that. If I choose the second option, I'm taken to the iCloud preference pane, wherein I have to enter my Apple ID password. But when I click on 'Sign In', I get an 'Unknown error has occurred' message. After trying to sign in for two times, it asks me to reset my Apple ID password. If, during any of this, I hit Cancel, the iMessage window (yeah, that was open the entire time) pops up a 'unknown error has occurred during activation. Try Again.'
One thing I should probably mention, is that I've had this hackintosh running for more than 3 months now, and I've got the 'This Mac can't connect to the iCloud' message, every time I've booted up my system.
Same for FaceTime.
Has anybody figured it out?
