MaciASL issue. Workaround possible?

I have a Lenovo E540 with a battery level that I can't seem to lick. My recent attempt is by fixing it in the DSDt. I can't make out RehabMan's directions on the tonymac page, so I'm following this instructional YouTube video.

I've followed the steps to install MaciASL, and I've also dumped my tables to the EFI/EFI/Clover/ACPI/origin subdirectory. After installing MaciASL I went to preferences, then to Sources, and use the following URL: http://raw.github.com/RehabMan/Laptop-DSDT-Patch/master. From there I go to File --> Open, and select my DSDT where it loads. I click on "Patch", the github URL loads, and I selected the battery kext for my Lenovo E540. But now I can't click "Apply" or "close" because of the following text glitch: http://imgur.com/lISfgUU. Some information obstructs the two buttons, and I can only click on "open". Every time i have to force quit it and try again but can never get past those glitches..

I downloaded the MaciASL from sourceforge.net. Is there another method I can use to patch it, or a different method entirely? Should I simply wait to try it on my huge 28" Asus monitor instead where the buttons may not be obstructed?
