I have a Lenovo z50-70 with Sierra. For wifi I am using a edimax usb dongle. It work ok, but because af apples restrictions(no native support), I can't use my schools primary wifi (801.1x certificate something). that limits me to my schools guest wifi, with causes these complications. - i have to create a new account every day, as a single account is only valid for 8 hours - I can't use native driver print, and "had" to buy a 10 dollar extension - i have slower internet speeds( 5 up 2 down) yeah its rough

Request if apple added native support I would give them my left kidney. But we all know that isn't gonna happen. The real solution is a custom driver/StatusBarApp.app compatible with the network. If somebody way smarter than me can help me I will buy u a coffee or two. The setting normally necessary is (translated from danish) "do not verify certificate) this setting is not to be found in the edimax tool.
