I have a Sonnet Presto Gigabit Pro ethernet card which worked great until High Sierra came around. They say they're working with Apple on a fix, but we're on 10.13.2 and still no fix, so I got impatient. I found that simply replacing 'AppleBCM5701Ethernet' with the version from Sierra was enough to get it working. I did that by dumping it in 'PlugIns' in /System/Library/Extensions/IONetworkingFamily.kext. But that feels gross and sounds like a lot of effort to remember to do for each update.
So what I wonder is, can Clover do the work for me so I don't have to worry about manually replacing 'AppleBCM5701Ethernet' every update? I tried just putting it in /kexts/Other but that didn't have the results I had hoped for.
I feel like this is a stupid question, but everybody always says there are no stupid questions!
Thanks!
