I've got a Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H ATX LGA1155 Motherboard
I'm on sierra 10.12
I've got a GTX 1060 graphics card which is fairly new. I think when I installed it is when the problems started but my system WAS working for a while with the card.
Mostly when I boot it now, it boots to a black screen. And it isn't that the display just isn't working. Because if I press a volume key, it doesn't make any noise. So it apparently hasn't actually booted.
If I boot with nv_disable=1 it'll boot every time. And SOMETIMES it'll boot without any problems after I boot with NV_disable=1. But a lot of times it won't.
So I don't really know where to go from here. I've had this working fine for years but ever since I installed the new graphics card it has been hard to get it to be reliable. It was working reliably for maybe a month but now it doesn't seem to boot at all unless I do the nv_disable trick.
