I've seen several instances of users mentioning issues with the recent web drivers so I though I'd start a thread to discuss the GPU and macOS version you are running and the sort of problems you're experiencing. I'm interested in determining whether the issues are sporadic or consistent across the same hardware, driver version etc.
Personally I found the performance to be smoother a few updates ago but with the most recent build of 10.13.1 and now with 10.13.2 the graphical lag in programs such as Chrome tends to be more obvious. I can't even use Google Maps with Firefox as I'm receiving the black screen issues. Disabling hardware acceleration fixes it at the cost of jumpy movements and stutters.
We're still waiting for a CUDA driver update that's compatible with 10.13.2 but if most of the affected applications aren't CUDA accelerated then it's unlikely to improve performance anyway.
