Hello, I am writing from my brew new (old) X220 successfully loaded with High Sierra thanks to the amazing guide at http://x220.mcdonnelltech.com
The guide mentions that there is no keyboard driver if Filevault is enabled on the boot drive - so I was wondering if it would be possible to do something like this on a 500gb SSD:
Partition 1: EFI/Boot - 2gb, Unencrypted, Journaled, GUID
Partition 2: System - 498gb, Filevault, APFS, GUID
I'm just hesitant to mess around with my install because it's working so wonderfully now - but carrying a laptop around with an unencrypted drive feels very icky to me.
