Question about High Sierra and Nvidia+AMD GPU together

So I've got two GPU's in the rig I'm trying to get high sierra up and running on.

  • z97mx gaming 5
  • 4790k
  • Nvidia 1080
  • AMD r9 390

I've got high sierra running, and running well on my 1080 with nvidia web drivers. It only runs with my AMD GPU not plugged in. When I re-connect my r9 390 to my motherboard, i get the gioscreenlockstate 3 error.

I used unibeast and multibeast to get the current set up running with 10.13.2. Prior to clean installing high sierra, i was running sierra, with both GPU's attached with no problems, however, I did not take the time to install nvidia drivers and did not have GPU acceleration with sierra.

I've tried using lilu and whatevergreen kexts but no matter what I try, I can't seem to get past that error. Now I'm not really interested in using the 390 for anything while in mac os, but I really don't want to have to unplug the 390 each time I want to use my hackintosh.

Has anyone dealt with a similar situation that might have a workaround? I'm kind of afraid to start messing around with clover configurator because it's taken me a really long time to get it running as it is... Is there a way to disable or stop mac os from trying to access the AMD 390? I don't really care for it to be working, I just want high sierra to be able to boot with it in the PC.

Thanks for any help and/or advice
