I have an Asus P8P67 Pro motherboard with an i5-2500k, running the latest BIOS.
I successfully installed macOS Mojave using a USB, and I can boot my system fine if I boot Clover from a USB.
However, I want to boot off my SSD without a USB, so I installed Clover to my EFI partiton (I can confirm it is actually there).
When the SSD is plugged into any of the SATA ports on the motherboard, only the legacy boot option appears in the BIOS (which doesn't boot anything because I haven't set up legacy boot support - I would prefer to use UEFI).
If I plug my SSD into a SATA to USB3 dock and plug it into a USB3 port on the motherboard, the system detects the UEFI boot option and Clover works fine.
Ultimately, I can use legacy booting if it comes down to it, but I would prefer UEFI.
Any ideas why I can only see UEFI when using USB?
