Does the CPU make a differences

So I just bought a new laptop and I wanna turn my old one into a hackintosh laptop, an Acer Aspire E 15, 15.6", and I've looked it up and I keep hearing people have done it but on the core i5 Model while mine is a core i3. Would that make a differences or would it still work the same? I know the motherboard and all that on both models is the same, the only thing that is different is the CPU
