Ga-z170-hd3 motherboard, Intel i7 Skylake, GeForce GTX 660, LG 21EA31 1080p monitor(primary onboard graphics), LG 4K living room monitor(Secondary graphics card).
I just started using this successfully between El Cap and Win 10 for reasons on the Windows side that was messing up the monitor identifier and primary monitor to secondary setup by having both plugged into the graphics card, but having onboard and then graphics card as secondary on boot has fixed a lot of issues, and I’m loving it.
Since my Mac side is set to boot with the GTX, it will only boot with at least the secondary monitor plugged into the GTX and has weird artifacts right before the Mac OS screen comes in, which I don’t mind but,
My question is, will this setup be damaging long term to my computer for any reason? Mostly thinking about my initial boot, it looks like it jumps back and forth from the apple logo to disappearing really fast right before it hits the OS desktop. Everything is working amazing other wise, I am just lookin for opinions on using this setup long term.
