So I recently got my first Hackintosh working (Just after building my first PC!) and I made slight changes to my BIOS settings and timings on my RAM - in doing so managed a reasonably good improvement to my Geekbench Results (https://browser.geekbench.com/v5/cpu/838445). Whilst uploading, I noticed the Late 2019 Mac Pro had been benchmarked and decided I'd compared my result to the nearest MacPro '19 result on Geekbench, the Intel Xeon W-3235 3300mhz 12-Core. The price difference alone plastered a smile across my face - not to mention that this isn't even using an equal standard GPU as the jump from Apple is from an RX580 to a Vega II (So the price uses the base GPU) Geekbench Single Core (Multi-Core) Results: My AMD Hackintosh: 1298 (12786) The MacPro below: 1108 (11652) To put this whopping £6,759.00 price tag in perspective - built my machine for under £1,800 (My Machine: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/ssv1991/saved/#view=G3Qmgs) Boy, am I blown away! Hackintosh all the way! Update: Added PCPartPicker list for anyone interested in my build specs. [link] [comments] |
