Thunderbolt 2 add-in card can just work like a display adapter on non-supported mainboard

My system specs :
- CPU 3900X
- Mainboard : X570E Strix
- VGA 2070S Strix + RX 570 ITX
I'm having an apple thunderbolt display which i used for years with my macbook pro 15 2015.
Now when i build up my ryzentosh, i'm trying to find a way to make it work with the thunderbolt display. Fortunately then i find out that i have made an mistake for buying the X570-E Strix which doesn't has thunderbolt header. I thought i could have to sold my thunderbolt display with a cheap price (seem nobody keen with this display anymore because most of mac user have moved to thunderbolt 3) and buy a new monitor.
I'm struggling selling my mainboard to buy Taichi X570 which has thunderbolt 3 header to use with Gigabyte Titan Ridge card and apple thunderbolt 3 -> 2 adapter ( lot of money have to be spent just to keep using the thunderbolt display nowadays ).
While finding buyer for my mainboard, i found out a guy selling Asus ThunderboltEX II Dual with a very cheap price, so i decided to buy it then wait until i can sell my asus mainboard and get taichi.

I got the TB add-in card shipped to my place next day but haven't sold my asus mainboard yet. Not sure why i decided to plug it in and try it even when my mainboard has no thunderbolt header, didn't think it will work though, i just plug the tb card into pcie slot and didn't attach thunderbolt header in.
Turn on my pc to boot into Catalina (open core) and BOOOOM.... my thunderbolt display light up lol.....

According to the manual, red LED indicate that there are lacking of thunderbolt signal connected to the card

When i tried it with window, it work flawlessly, even be able to connect and sound output to the thunderbolt display on window (but not on mac os because i haven't properly configured my mac os sound yet).
I'm really surprised by this result, i don't even have to configure anything in BIOS (this X570E bios has nothing to do with thunderbolt) or patching DSDT or anything else, just plug it in, don't even need to connect anything into the add-in card, everything work out of box.
It now help me to save lot of money buying new monitor and since i still love my thunderbolt display, now i be able to keep using my tb display for work on mac os and playing game on window.
Further more, happily that i haven't bought Gigabyte Titan Ridge card and apple thunderbolt 3 -> 2 adapter too haha, lot of money saved. Totally satisfied.
