- CPU: Intel Core i7-10750H (Comet Lake-H)
- GPU: Intel Graphics Comet-Lake-H-GT2 (UHD 630? I'm unable to find any name for apart from that, but a review site used it's name as well as UHD 630 interchangeably)
- RAM: 16GB
- Motherboard/Laptop model: Zephyrus GU502LW-BI7N6
- Audio Codec: Realtec ALC294
- Ethernet Card: RTL8111/8168/8411 PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet Controller
- WiFi/BT Card: Intel WiFi 6 AX201
- Touchpad and Touch Display devices: ASUS "High precision" touchpad (Supposedly ELAN)
- What guide/tool followed: OpenCore
- What part I got an issue with: Installation
Helping a friend with his hack, trying to install 10.15, got it to boot but had quite a few issues:
- It would get stuck during install. While using an offline installer, the recovery installer would work fine, but after install (booting from the entry on the actual disk), the bar would not move, even after several hours. Using an online one, the recovery installer wouldn't even complete, even after being left overnight.
- Touchpad does not work, tried both voodooi2chid and the elan variant, not much of an issue since he uses an external mouse most of the time.
- Stuck in Russian, even with prev-lang-kbd set to en-US:0 in the plist
A few things, first, in bios, we couldn't disable:
- Serial/COM Port
- Parallel Port
- CSM
- Thunderbolt
- Intel SGX
- Intel Platform Trust
- TPM
Neither could we enable:
- Above 4G decoding
- Execute Disable Bit
- EHCI/XGCI Hand-off
OC folder (XHCI-Unsupported is disabled in plist)
config.plist
