(Computer Model: Acer PH-315-53-72XD) (dGPU: RTX 2060 Mobile) Hi, as the title says the computer I am trying to patch has been having some issues regarding dGPU and wake. This laptop refuses to keep the dGPU off after wake, and it consumes more than twice the power it did when it was disabled. The OpenCore ACPI Guide suggests one of 2 methods to disable your dGPU on a laptop; one of them is the Optimus, which essentially is what most laptops use. Then there's the Bumblebee method. More information over at dortania.github.io . I've tried both of those methods and both work perfectly fine . But according to Intel Power Gadget, power readings are higher when the laptop is woken from sleep. Is it me or does Mac OS generally have an issue auto connecting to anything Bluetooth that is not an Apple product?! I have the MX Master 3 mouse and without a wired mouse I cannot really go in and connect to this. Is there a setting to change or perhaps a script I can write to make this happen or is this a Hackintosh issue?! Hi, i'm planning on building a Hackintosh in the next few months and I was wondering what my options are for GPU's? I've tried looking this up but it seems opinions seem to vary. I'll be using this machine for Logic Pro X and some light video editing as well as casual games like Minecraft. Gaming performance is really not a big deal to me so I don't want to buy something like a GeForce and go through the process of installing drivers. I also don't want to spend more than $200. Basically I would need something just good enough. I am currently daily driving a Macbook Pro 2015 15 inch which has an AMD Radeon R9 and I am more than happy with performance on there so take that as a reference. Hi Hackintoshers, I have been trying to hackintosh Big Sur 11.5.2 on my Windows 11 PC. I followed the Dortania guide but got stuck on [EB|LOG:EXITBS:START] (see the picture below). Alright. I Hackintoshed. I use the Nvidia Web Drivers on High Sierra. I’ve noticed a strange issue where if I have both of my monitors plugged in during boot, it’ll send no signal when the Apple logo is supposed to appear. I am going to buy a new computer in the next 4 months and i wanted to try to make a dual boot with Windows 10 or 11 for gaming and Mac OS Big Sur for programming. One of the options i thought about was to get a Ryzen 5950x, 32gb of ram, 2tb SSD m2 with a 3080ti and a cheaper 200 euros AMD GPU compatible with Big Sur as i don't want to get an AMD card for gaming. (I don't name brands or concrete products on the ram, SSDs, motherboard, etc because i don't know which one i should get or i will get). The thing is that with hardware i am really noob and i am worried of the possibility of this causing any issues of overheat, performance or any of this nature. Is there a risk about anything of this? Hi there, The God of Thunder (Thor) was in our town last week and it caused a disaster for so many people. Thor or Thors like in this funny commercial must have been very, very angry and thousands of lightning strikes hit the town in a few hours. Believe it or not I was watching Avengers: Endgame at that right moment and heard a loud POP sound from my xDSL modem router, it exploded and my PC reset with a kernel panic. I immediately turned off the PC and monitor. There was a high pitch noise in the room that was coming from the modem router. Probably high voltage caused a capacitor to explode and others to make loud coil whine. Noise decreased when I unplugged the DSL line RJ11 cable from back of the modem router and it stopped when I unplug its power adapter. Then I turned off the power strip that PC, monitor and all of my devices plugged in as Thors keep feeding those lightning strikes. Hello all! I recently bought my friend's PC which I found out is a Hackintosh running macOS from one SSD and Windows from another SSD. However when I tried using macOS I noticed it started being unstable and the display would hang for several seconds that I needed to restart it. I asked him about it and he said I might have to update OpenCore, as he had never updated it from 0.6.4. How would I go about this? I saw that OpenCore is at 0.8.3 so my version is far behind. First of all I wanted to know if HDMI out works on the 10th gen laptops and if it does, does it require a lot of work to get it working? Next up I’m looking for a laptop to hackintosh but I need to run windows as well since I need it for certain applications. I really like the way that these two laptops look. Do you guys have any suggestions on a specific model that works very well with macOS. And it is a must that the Wi-Fi card needs to be removable (so I can get universal control and airdrop working).
