I've followed the OpenCore guide for everything until this point, where you actually begin installation on the target machine. At first, I had CSM enabled in BIOS (all the guide said was "macOS optimized BIOS settings" which wasn't particularly helpful...), which returned "Reboot or Select Proper Boot Device". Decided to disable CSM to see if that would help, and I think it got me further but not meaningfully. Basically, the screen flashes for a second and my mouse cursor stops working but my keyboard still works, so I can navigate in BIOS. The graphics are a little glitchy; the whole BIOS menu only takes up about 2/3 the screen and there's a bunch of glitching around the border. All options disappear from the boot menu when it's in this state and the only way to get it back to normal again is to shut it off and turn it back on again. I have owned a Macbook Air since early-mid 2018, and I am looking to upgrade. However, I am considering stepping away from Apple hardware, yet keep using their software because I own an iPhone too. I am looking for a 2-in-1 convertible that has pen support (doesn't have to be in macOS too, but it would be nice). I don't have a need for anything beyond integrated graphics, but I do need atleast a Core i5 and 8 GB RAM. For storage, either 1 TB would be nice but 500 GB is fine too. So I've been trying to hackintosh this intel NUC. I've done it before on this PC with Ventura even. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. All of my bios settings are to Opencore spec. Having trouble getting to installer with OC. It validated with ocvalidate with no errors, but I can only get so far in the OC boot before it hangs. FYI - I don't need the USB port limit as my MB actually has 2 separate controllers with each controller under the 15 limit anyway. With my machine being on High Sierra the last time I installed MacOS was about 5 years ago, so I am looking for advice about which path to follow to upgrade to Ventura. I never upgraded from HS as I had a Nvidia GTX 1060 graphics card and the machine was working just as a raid and plex server. I'm trying to install OC on my desktop with an intel i5-8400. Everything was working fine until i did the OCLP to make nvidia web drivers work so that i could use my second screen and to remove the lag that i had when i was using graphics (for example when i watched yt vids the video would get rippy and my system extremly laggy). After doing the path by disabling SIP and tweaking my config.plist so that it matched the requirements i get two errors. One seems to be conncted to AppleALC and the other one i don't know even where to start. The GPU i have is a 1050ti so it should be compatible. I guess I made a reallly big mistake. I was preparing to try to update to Big Sur from catalina. I Updated my clover installation to the latest. (clover had the option in the tray menu). I have a working hack with both Mojave and Catalina installed on separate SSD's. I have created an opencore Big Sur USB installer, however my computer does not recognise it as a boot drive. I have checked it on my macbook and it is bootable. As per the instructions, I downloaded the Mojave installer from apple. I assume it must be clean.
