Hi All!
I have a Mac Pro 3,1 which has successfully been running Big Sur patched with OpenCore. I wanted to try to do a clean install with a newer version of MacOS, aware of the USB issues that might arise. I have been able to install Monterey, Ventura and Big Sur. However, all of these MacOS versions introduce a problem: my Mac simply will not boot with my HD7850 GPU installed. When removing the HD7850, it boots using the old HD2600, but both installed won't work.
The problem occurs after the OpenCore logging finishes and before MacOS registers a boot. Hence trouble shooting is very difficult. I did manage to take a picture just before the Mac reboots, but I don't see any clear errors.
So what's happened? The GPU still works in a PC, I used to have a working OpenCore install on this Mac with this exact configuration and I have tried using older versions of OpenCore. So what's going on? Anyone to help me try something which I have not tried before?
Many many thanks!
