My iMac Late 2013 with SSD, 32GB RAM, Intel i5 with GTX675MX graphics card, installed and running Catalina. It's running super creamy smooth despite being a decade old. As I just stumbled on OCLP and obviously excited about it and wanted to upgrade to Sonoma. I have not been able to find answers on OCLP site. Can I install OCLP Sonoma and restore data / apps from my Catalina Time Machine backup? Hi, is anyone having trouble running Steam installation to the finish and managed to get it working? I have a fresh installed Sonoma and updated to 14.1 (23B74) using OpenCore 0.9.5 and after that patching my Fenvi WiFi card using OpenCore Legacy Patcher 1.1.0 . System is running with no issues and I have not observed any instability. Everything seems to be working so far. So I wanted to try some Steam games. I downloaded steam.dmg and run the install. It managed to update the Steam client but then when I expect some Steam GUI window to show, nothing. It is running in the Dock (not bouncing like it is lunching). It just sits there and nothing is happening. Even Network and disc activity is at idle speeds. Fully working Big Sur Hackintosh with Native AirPlay/Airdrop etc… support! I found out that the WiFi whitelist for this laptop removed FOR ME when I updated it to the latest BIOS. Hey there! So far I am very happy with my Hackintosh. I got through the guide well and was able to sort out all the major problems.Unfortunately, there remains one problem that I can't quite explain.In the Photos app, the sync with iCloud is always paused due to "Bad network connection". I currently still have an Intel Wifi card with the appropriate kexts installed but would probably soon switch to a supported Broadcom for AirDrop and co. However, it would be cool to be able to solve the problem first - are there perhaps settings for the config.plist?I haven't found a native solution yet to tell macOS to ignore this, so currently I can only continue syncing for an hour at a time.... Intel i5 8th Gen (Coffee Lake) Intel UHD 620 Graphics 16gb ram I used Dortania to set up the EFI. Everything works during booting, but on the installation screen (where you see disk utility) my laptop LCD just becomes extremely dim. I have added the following to my boot args (-v keepsyms=1 debug=0x100 alcid=1 -igfxblr igfxonln=1 enable-backlight-registers-fix) and I have also put the ACPI SSDT-PNLF.aml. Is there any kexts I should install at this current moment? When i installed mountain lion i could disable nvidia gpu through single user mode but after updating to catalina i knew it will reset this config so i went straight to single user mode but its giving me error that i cant mount Disk cause its read only after few seconds its spamming You shall not pass! I've tried to install Big Sur using the latest patcher and every time it would go all the way to the installer, it would install up until "About 10 minutes remaining" and would pause. The computer would reset and then start with the next process, then it would go to the update assistant. I've tried with Monterey and would get to the same point. Hi All, First time using OpenCore Legacy Patcher to install macOS on a newly installed SSD. Instlaled OpenCore Legacy Patcher on a new macbook pro, first selecting "MacMini5,2" in settings, then clicked to "Create macOS Installer" on a thumb drive, then clicked "Build and Install OpenCore" onto the thumbdrive. The thumb drive boots on the mini and seemingly installs macos, but upon reboot i just get the speaker making strange noises. What am I missing? Hi, Got an Asus Z270WS with Opencore 0.8 and a Highpoint SSD7204 that works with the Windows side of things but cant get the driver to recognize the card. At bootup each of the 4 nvme drives comes up but I choose to ignore them. Wonder what I have to do to get it working? Noticed that the 1.1.25 highpointnvme kext is loaded in kextstat. Various issues: Unable to wake from sleep and freezing. I tried some fixes however decided to ''roll back'' to Ventura which solved my stability issues. The issue seemed to be related to graphics however Time Machine back ups to a SMB network drive seemed to be problematic as well. Ventura is running mighty fine. I accidentally updated OCLP to 1.1.0 from a very stable install of Ventura 13.6 running OpenCore build 1.0.1 I caught my error quickly and did not install root patches along with the build update My mac is working normal, still running Ventura 13.6. I can log-in and have lost no functionality that I'm aware of, but my system is running very slow and beach balling on minor tasks. On a restart I am greeted with the message below asking to Update the bootloader What process should I follow to revert back to 1.0.1? i bought 6650xt and spoofed successful and working good. after installing Radeon gadget (gpu temperature monitoring software) i see 50° idle temperature and when rendering in blender it kicks 100°.i got doubt and installed windows as dual boot and checked that i got 45° idle temperature and 75° temperature on blender rendering. is it normal ? I have an old Mac Pro 3,1 running 10.11 that I haven't used in years. I'd like to give it to a family member to replace their old core 2 duo desktop that they're somehow still using. I'd like to put it on Sonoma or Ventura or one of the other fairly recent MacOS versions to get some better software support. They're not particularly computer literate though, so I'd like for it to be as seamless as possible.... What's the best GPU option that's known to work well with a 3,1 and Sonoma/Ventura/Etc? After a happy debut with Open Core and eventually getting 14.1 on my hack i still havent been able to get wifi to work. I have iCloud finally working, it didnt let me accept Terms and Conditions at 14.0 but 14.1 update enabled me to pass that step and now iCloud folder does indeed work properly.
