monterey hp envy 15 2020 ep0002nt intel core i7 10750h with uhd630 gtx1650ti disabled 16gb memory and some random factory nvme drive i have the classic intel ax201 wifi 6 keyboard is ps 2 touchpad is synaptics touchpad which is pretty common and it works fine charging lid sensor cycle count hp wide vision webcam aux port all usbs type c ports thunderbolt shortcut keys and all works like the keyboard is ps2 and the fn keys the camera cover key backlight and all is controll by the firmware so its not an issue but yk how the keyboard light tuens off after inactivity so the keyboard backlight turns on when i touvh the touchpad but it doesnt in macos. this behavior was also present on windows when i didint have the touchpad drivers installed and it seems like that specific driver is only for this usecase since the touchpad still worked without that in windows. everything working except bluetooth, microphone (intel sst), sleep and hdmi since that port is on the nvidia thing had windows installed in the drive and i just installed macos on a partition on the same drive opencore does see both windows and macos speakers work but the b&o app and services that fix how the speakers sound arent on mac so it sounds way worse than it does on windows the experience overall is way faster than windows and you really dont feel the missing dgpu originally had it just where the usb is higher on the boot priority so it boots macos when i plug the usb in and just boots window sand doesnt touch windows. but i didint want to care about a usb drive that i need to plug in while booting like ik after boot i can remive it but i just created another efi partition on my drive and put my stuff there. the bios on this laptop is great and i havent had nay issues but it didnt want to see the opencore efi on tge same efi partition with the windows one but that is fair enough. the uefi is ok with having multiple efi partitions and seems to be having an easier time like that .
