Apologies for posting twice on the same day here, I just finished installing Ventura on an external drive for my 2017 MacBook Air and it is unusable, inputs are laggy, macOS doesn't recognize my display (there's also a screen mirroring icon on the menu bar, which I guess is a hack to get displays working?) and I can't adjust brightness, the genie effect for minimization is so slow that macOS halts for a few seconds. I'm posting this on that very MacBook running Monterey (officially supported by Apple) and it is significantly faster, I must've done something wrong because one version number shouldn't lead to such a drastic performance degradation. Any suggestions? I need this to work because I need to run Logic Pro on this machine.
