Got touchbar / fingerprint working again on macbook pro 2017 14,2 using OPLC 2.4.1 and Sequoia

The Fingerprint sensor has never worked since I upgraded from Ventura to Sequoia. The problem was the software drivers were never loaded or preserved during this upgrade. I have a dual boot using bootcamp to run Microsoft 11 (first you have to install 10 and upgrade to 11). Everything works fine here, including touch bar.

So, I verified using several command line tools and checked the firmware directory, and there was nothing. No detection.

The fix? Very complicated. I created a 120GB partition, installed Ventura with OPLC (though it was probably not needed) onto the new 120GB partition, and the finger print scanner was recognized and worked. Then I went back to Sequoia and still nothing. So, I went into OPLC and under Security, I selected everything under System Integrity Protection (SIP) and under SMBIOS, I played around with Medium, High, and spoofed to MacbookPro 14,2 (though that is my model) and I have Disable AMFI checked and and Disable Disable Library Validated checked. Under Advanced, I have Disable Firmware Throttling Checked and FeatureLock Enabled. Target model is set to "Host.

Somewhere, something, or part of this, or all of these did the trick! Now Im scared to change anything. But I got the damn thing to work after a year of pain and suffering. Took about 6 hours in total, probably not worth it for all.

I also have a backup bootable USB of Ventura and Sequoia with OPLC in case there was a catastrophic system failure, so proceed with caution if this is of use to anyone.
