HP Elite x2 1012 G1 M3 6Y30 CPU idle is at 1.30GHz
Image
Ok, Im kinda new to this area but I know a good bit of Mac OS X. The only thing I dont know is why this CPU isnt lowering its clocks lower than 1.30GHz. In windows it would drop down to 500-800MHz at idle. Am I missing something? Should I Add/Change/Remove a kext? submitted by /u/MaddMaxx636 [link] [comments] [► Source]

Thx Below is my key components for the build: mobo: MSI B360I Gaming Pro AC Mini-ITX cup: i5-8400 gpu: gtx 1070 I know MSI motherboards are not the easiest to work with, but I did see some success. Can someone send me a link to a working high sierra .dmg?
Image
I don't have a mac, nor a hackingtosh (yet), and neither does anyone in my family. I was thinking of going to an apple store and doing it, but there is no apple store near me. I tried some downloads i found on the internet, but when i used transmac to recover the disk from the image it just made it unallocated so i was not able to mount it to put clover on. Can someone here do me a favour and send me a working .dmg of high sierra? submitted by /u/LogDotAlpha [link] [comments] [► Source]
Best WiFi/Bluetooth PCI E card? (Also for Windows)

You can find my system specs here . I would like to use AirDrop, Bluetooth and maybe unlock with Apple Watch, but also I want it to be functioning in Windows too. I know that someone has been able to make it work with some Bootcamp drivers. I found this on Amazon. Image
I have dual boot (10.4.5 + windows 10) Mojave is running super smooth everything is working (except sleep which I don't mind) On the other hand im having a lot of wierd problems with windows! -doesnt restart or shutdown -random USB port stops working (all working in Mojave) I tried to change XHCI to auto but didn't help much ! Has anyone experienced something similar? Or maybe it's corrupted windows ? (I did a clean install on a separate SSD) submitted by /u/damassteel [link] [comments] [► Source]

Aluminum laptop cases for Hackintosh build?
Image
Before you assume, NO, I’m not trying to make a replica/clone/exact match for a MacBook Pro, quite the opposite. Aside from the touchbar (unless there’s an aftermarket solution), I’d like this to look and feel BETTER than Apple, the only thing I really want is a metal laptop@ enclosure I waited all year for their conference, set aside thousands in anticipation for their new line, and to say the least, I was MORE Han just disappointed, but I’ll keep my ranting/complaining to myself (for now) So rather than cry about it, I thought, we all build our own PCs anyways, and laptops have become much more internally modular than the last time I put one together from parts, so why not just build a Mac (hack if you please)? The hard part is, you can probably guess what happens when I search for “laptop case” or “laptop shell” or “laptop anything”... laptops and laptop protective shells and carrying cases show up... ::sigh:: Is there a site dedicated to PC Cases for laptops that doesn’t mix i...
Display Clover Booloader on external GPU instead of IGPU
Image
Hi everyone! I have a successful Hackintosh system, but I have only one annoying problem. I have two monitor connected via DP in my sapphire RX 580 Nitro + 8gb and, since I have enabled the IGPU intel HD 630 (also in the bios with IGFX as primary output) I can’t see anything (yes I know :) ) until the Mac OS login screen (after that everything is running with gpu+IGPU). Is there a way to see at least Clover boot loader welcome screen through DP in my external gpu instead of IGPU? Mini PCI-E card 1830

How does the Dell 1830 work on a desktop with the apple mouse and keyboard? As well as letting me use them in bios or the boot loader? submitted by /u/Soulofahunter [link] [comments] [► Source]
I believe this piece is refered to as mini pci-e card. Similar to a laptop. Anyone know of a card that would fit that would let me use the wifi/BT as well as my apple mouse and keyboard (in OS, bios, and bootloader)? Found a bunch of parts laying around conveniently they are all hackintosh capable.

10 bit color? Radeon vs Radeon Pro

Mojave on Integrated Graphics vs High Sierra on Nvidia GPU

Wondering what you guys think on whether or not I should stick with High Sierra since there is still support for Nvidia drivers or upgrade to Mojave using integrated graphics on my i5 since there probably won't be support in the foreseeable future. I'd also like to add that although I have a 980ti, my performance isn't all sunshine and roses on Mojave. submitted by /u/ozayer [link] [comments] [► Source]

Fans stop working (Asrock Z390m itx)

I managed to successfully installed Mojave OS into my pc (Asrock Z390m itx) without any major problems. However, for some reason, my fans stopped running, but my CPU cooler is functioning perfectly. I have the same issue when I switched back to Windows. I didn't have the problem before until I added Hackintosh. Please let me know if there is a solution. Quick question about a couple of Kexts recommended for the Intel Vanilla sidebar guide: do I literally only need the kext file itself named in the guide, or do I also need to do anything with the other files that come with VirtualSMC and USBInjectAll?
Image
To be clear for VirtualSMC I mean all the other ones that come in the zip file off the repo that don’t have that exact name: SuperIO, something to do with light sensors, etc. Also the .efi file. Are those all optional? For a pretty routine z370 hackintosh build hats not a laptop or anything weird, is there even a reason I would for sure need them? Same question for the “unsupported” kext that came with USBInjectAll. Needed? I should also note I am planning on making a custom USB map with corpnewt’s script first thing after install. submitted by /u/TonyStarkEsq [link] [comments] [► Source]

Out of ideas installing Mojave 10.14.5 (9900k, Gigabyte z390 Aorus Elite, iGPU)
Image
Hello fellow hackintoshers, I need your help. I got some new hardware a week ago and I am struggling since to set up a Mac OS 10.14.5. Specs: Intel 9900k Gigabyte Aorus Elite z390 2 x 16Gb GSkill 3000Mhz XPG 1Tb NVME I am trying to install from an USB 2.0 (tried also 3.0; no difference). Clover version: 4974 Selected options when installing Clover: Clover for UEFI booting only Install Clover in the ESP UEFI Drives: ApfsDriverLoader-64, AptioMemoryFix-64, HFSPlus Kexts are: - AppleALC - IntelMausiEthernet - Lilu - USBInjectAll - VirtualSMC - WhateverGreen With these I got an "Alloc 2" error, so I followed this guide to fix it https://github.com/cmer/gigabyte-z390-aorus-master-hackintosh/blob/master/STEP_BY_STEP.md Added: EmuVariableUefi-64.efi Added: OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000 Removed: AptioMemoryFix-64 It solves that issue but a full boot from the stick never works. It seems like the iGPU is ignored and the screen goes dark. Y...
