Cannot Boot Mojave on Ryzen CPU, cannot find fix.
Image
Ive just tried getting into doing a hackintosh yesterday, and after installing all the drivers i needed and such, i found myself crashing at every startup into the mojave installer. What I am getting at boot in the last few lines of code: root device uuid is '########' (Just a bunch of numbers) End InitBootStruct Start LoadRAMDisk End LoadRAMDisk Start FinalizeBootStruct Start RandomSeed End RandomSeed +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++_ and then it hangs/crashes during displaying the +'s I read this is a memory mapping error, but i cant find any straightforward fix i can do on windows, I have no access to a Mac or MacOS Specs: CPU - Ryzen 5 2600 (No overclock) GPU - RX 570 4GB (No overclock) (Currently using GTX card without overclock but switching over soon) Mobo - Asus B450M-A RAM - 16 GB (8 x 2) DDR4 3200 I can supply any further needed info submitted by /u/glitchdweller [link] [comments] [► Source]

OsX on my Lenovo V110?
Image
Hi guys! I wanted to use a Mac as my secondary on the go device for some time now. I currently own a Lenovo V110 and so I am curious if it is possible to install OsX on it. The device delivers a decent enough performance to work on it, watch video etc. It is pretty cheap though so specs are not the best but still. Would love if somebody could help me out a little or if you have any cheap laptops that would work better, if it does not work with my device... :) Hardware: Lenovo V110-15IKB CPU: Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU 4415U GPU: HD 610 RAM: 8 GBytes Motherboard/Laptop model: LNVNB161216 Audio Codec: Do not know Ethernet Card: Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller Wifi/BT Card: Realtek 8821AE Wireless LAN 802.11ac PCI-E NIC EDIT: So it seems that my Pentium is not viable for an Hackintosh, which Laptops would you recommend me then? submitted by /u/KunKiddo [link] [comments] [► Source]
z370 and z390 nvram question
Image
Hi!, I have been doing a lot of research about z370 and z390 boards for my i9 9900k to run a hackintosh on it. Some pals here wisely told me to get a z370 because the problems that z390 boards have with nvram. The thing is that after reading a lot it seems z370 boards VRM's are not really prepared for this kind of monster procesor so, 9900k heat gets worse on this boards. I live in a very hot country so heat is very important for me. So, my question is, is z390 emulated vram that bad? Should I definetely not go for a z390 board because of that? I would be really happy to hear your opinions. Cheers! submitted by /u/wacomlover [link] [comments] [► Source]

Z390 Designare & i9-9900K & RX 580 or iGPU: Ultimate Hackintosh

I created this really powerful build for a friend of mine (vanilla way), it's working really really well. The SMBIOS is "iMac19,1". I've used the following guides: vanilla guide usb map guide with also this video CaseySJ's guide on tonymacx86.com , his guide is NOT vanilla, but it provides so much deep information and troubleshooting and really useful custom specific SSDT for this motherboard bonus, read this post about OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000 , long story short, it's really dangerous to use it, but a lot of guides actually do that, including CaseySJ's!! But fear not, my EFI clover is simple and clean, without it, everything works just fine Build Motherboard: Gigabyte Z390 Designare (BIOS F7) CPU: Intel Core i9-990K CPU Cooler: Dark Rock Pro 4 iGPU: Intel UHD Graphics 630 RAM : Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3000 MHz 16 GB X 2 Storage 1: Silicon Power SSD PCIe M.2 NVMe 512 GB Gen3x4 (macOS 10.14.6) Storage 2: SanDisk 250 GB (Windows 10 Build ...

Dell e7440 Hackintosh Filevault2

Hackintosh install is failing
Image
Hi, I'm trying to install Mojave 10.14.6 on the following hardware: CPU: Intel i9-9900k Graphics: Sapphire RX 580 Motherboard: Asus Maximus XI Hero w/ WI-FI RAM: Crucial DDR4 Ballistix 2x16GB SSD: Samsung 970 Pro NVMe M.2 I'm new, so I thought I'd try the UniBeast installer because I got really confused going through the guide (especially generating the .plist -- I tried it and it didn't go so well for me.) So I tried the UniBeast installer, which seemed to work, except now I am getting stuck at [PCI configuration end] when running the installer under verbose mode. I tried adding npci=0x2000 or npci=0x3000 and no luck. Any ideas would be super appreciated! submitted by /u/throwaway809438 [link] [comments] [► Source]

Different Clover Authors
Image
I notice that there are different Clover Bootloader Authors. There is a version by Pauli Jokela aka Dids, and then there is the more mainstream version at SourceForge. I have been using the Dids version as it tends to be updated a bit more quickly. Has anybody done a comparison between the two? I can't say I have had any issues with it, and I'm not looking to start any conflict, just asking the question. submitted by /u/Rupert_Balderdash [link] [comments] [► Source]

Issues booting from Installer Media
Image
My brother has had a hackintosh for the past 2 years with an tonymacx install of Sierra, but we figured it would be time to update it to Mojave and also changing to a more stable Vanilla install. We followed the guide on vanilla installs for Skylake processors and followed it thoroughly (copied every entry in Clover Configurator). The issue comes when we try to boot it from the installer USB. It loads to about 90% and then the screen goes blank saying there is no video output. PC Specs: MOBO: Asus Z170-Pro CPU: Intel Core i7 6700K GPU: Asus GeForce GTX 660 RAM: 16GB DDR4 PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G2 SSD: Samsung 850EVO 3TB EFI folder Any help is greatly appreciated and if there is something else that can be improved, please comment. I will try my best answering questions about the build. Thanks! submitted by /u/Bobrikorv [link] [comments] [► Source]

HDMI not working in Mojave 10.14.6

Hello guys, I bought a "HP Pavilion Power - 15-cb013ng" for Hackintosh and Windows. Specs: CPU: i7 7700HQ MBoard: HP 836B (U3E1) RAM: 16GB 2133MHz GPU0: Intel HD630 GPU1:Nvidia 1050Ti 4GB Mobile (dedicated). I got almost everything working except HDMI output and USB-C hotplug. I already looked up a bit of the issue with Nvidia GPUs in Mojave and that 3D-acceleration won't work at all. I know that my iGPU is connected to my internal display while my dGPU is connected to my HDMI-port which showed up in the display manager of Windows 10. I found out that Nvida graphics should work without 3D-acceleration but with worser performance. I already tried to install NvidaWebDrivers with NvidiaWeb enabled in System Preferences in my config.plist which didn't work. Is there a way for a working HDMI or do i need to go back to High Sierra? If so, is there any difference at installation is will it be the same? (kexts, configs, ...) I'll post any file you ask for if it is goin...

Could this laptop be hackintoshable? It has an nvidia GPU and Ryzen CPU, my common sense says that's the worst combination in laptop, especially for a hackintosh. However the laptop is quite cheap and even comes with 120Hz display (despite the 1650). Laptop wifi card swap
Image
Hello guys! I have a Dell inspiron 5558 with the i5 and nvidia 920M, 8gb ram. I need ubuntu for my work but i just don’t like it that much and once i had hackintosh in my main pc. I started to read about hackintoshing your laptop and i have a few questions. So it has a built in intel wireless card which is not comaptible at all with hackintosh i would like to swap it out but couldn’t find any information about the swapping, or if the manufacturer allow it. The second one is i heard that i can’t use my nvidia gpu which is okay for me but i don’t want it to keep sucking my battery is it a possibity to turn it off? As the other things i heard that everything works well for example sleap mode can be done with kexts, and all the other things. So could you help me to find out if my wifi card is swappable? Will i ever be able to use my nvidia 920m? If not will i be able to turn it off so it won’t drain my battery? Thanks in advance submitted by /u/Kroszter [link] [comment...

Apple Sets Theatrical Release Dates for Three Original Films Ahead of Their Release on Apple TV+
Image
Apple has set theatrical release dates for three original films ahead of their launch on Apple TV+, reports Variety. Anthony Mackie's "The Banker will hit theatres on December 6th and reach Apple TV+ subscribers in January. Minhal Baig's "Hala" will open on November 22nd and arrive on Apple TV+ in December. "The Elephant Queen" opens in theaters October 18th and will be available when Apple TV+ launches in November 1st. These films will only play in select cities; however, Apple appears to be eyeing bigger releases as well. The company has held introductory talks with NATO, the trade group representing AMC Theaters, Regal Cinemas, and others. Its pitch could be summed up as, "We don’t want to be Netflix.", said a source. Netflix typically refuses to make subscribers wait before being able to watch its original films.
