Purchased B550 Vision D used from Amazon around $190, but 3 Fan bins are bent.. Do I need to return it? I am not sure I can get vision d at this price. Or can you recommend any intel/amd-compatiable motherboard other than vision d and vision g? It looks like it is very difficult to get a new z490 vision g/d and b550 vision d. Thank you! submitted by /u/leekh3 [link] [comments] [► Source]

Success! 12.0.1 Monterey on GA-B75M-D3H (Haswell E3-1240 v2)
Image
. . CPU Intel Xeon E2-1240 v2 Motherboard Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3H v1.1 GPU Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX 580 OpenCore 0.7.4 SMBIOS MacPro6,1 Ethernet Onboard RealTek RTL8111 Everything seems to be working. Sleep/Wake, Wake on LAN, DRM, iMessage, etc Upgraded from OC 0.7.1, all I had to do was fix the issues identified by ocvalidate and the same config from Big Sur worked just fine. No substantial changes to the content were required. I did a fresh install because I borked my username when I installed Big Sur. The only trouble I had with that process was that the standard method for building the USB resulted in a failure during the install claiming that my USB was corrupted/damaged. I rebuilt using Method 2 of the Linux instructions and that seemed to be fine. I had to do the same when I did the fresh install of Big Sur a couple months ago, too. submitted by /u/HookersWithBlow [link] [comments] [► Source]

I tried to update to Big Sur (tried to update directly to Monterey too) from my Catalina V. 10.15.7 for the past two days and cannot find the solution to my problem. Using the native Installer, its shows up the "An error occurred while preparing the installation. Try running the application again." error. Hackintosh on MSI Creator 15
Image
Hello, hackintosh community. Long story short, I want to buy a powerful laptop for both gaming and the development of iOS apps. After deep research, I decided that a powerful laptop with dual boot (Windows + macOS) would be the best option. For design and power, I opted for MSI Creator 15 (creator-15-a10sx). Now to the question. How can I check the compatibility of hardware, or in other words, can I check whether hackintosh will work smoothly on this laptop? The main reason why I ask is that I know that for some laptops, Bluetooth/WiFi or other things might not work, and I would like to know about it before buying. I would be glad to have a link/guide or other resources. Thank you in advance. P.S. Sorry if the post does not fully comply with the rules. submitted by /u/scrooge-mxduck [link] [comments] [► Source]

How to See Hackintosh Crash Logs When There's No Kernel Panic or Crash Reporter

Hey everyone! I have a problem, sometimes my system will shut down and reboot by itself randomly. I'm using OpenCore 0.7.3. Usually when this happens, it will show a kernel panic or crash reporter when I boot up and log in. But everytime my system does this, it doesn't show both kernel panic and crash reporter, so I don't what causing these crashes. Running object capture API / photocatch
Image
I am purchasing a Mac Mini M1 today. I was looking to build a Hackintosh also that can run Monterey and use the object capture API. The requirements say an Intel CPU and an AMD GPU with 4GB of vram. Any idea what the cheapest option for a hackintosh for that is? I was thinking optiplex 7020 with R7 350x. Would a Ryzen APU like a 3200g work? All of this is relatively new so there doesnt seem to be much info on compatibility and setups. Thanks everyone. submitted by /u/Court-Puzzleheaded [link] [comments] [► Source]

6900xt options

I plan to buy a 6900xt for my build, I have two options but I need some advice. I have two GPUs in mind: Nitro+ Radeon RX 6900 XT SE Gaming OC (3DP + 1 HDMI) GIGABYTE RX 6900 XT Gaming OC 16G (2DP + 2 HDMI) I plan to use the build for video stuff so I would prefer to have more HDMIs, I have seen many builds with Nitro+ card and didn't see any with Gigabyte so my question : Is this Gigabyte card is also plug-n-play like Nitro+ for hackintosh? (I'm not a pro so I prefer to use the easiest route). Really long delay booting a fresh OC 0.7.4 / Monterey
Image
With a freshly created OC 0.7.4 EFI & config.plist my machine boots into Monterey fine - but . After initially flying through the boot process it has a very long pause of what feels like several minutes before completing the boot. On-screen the output indicates it might be related to USB (photo attached). ASRock Z490M-ITX/ac Intel i7-10700 OpenCore 0.7.4 Monterey AMD RX580 NVMe SSD I was initially using USBInjectAll.kext as the docs stated that ASRock motherboards needed it. However I remembered I'd previously mapped / created a specific USBMap.kext for my system's ports, so I swapped out USBInjectAll for USBMap.kext instead in the hope that might remove the long delay - sadly it didn't make any difference. Does anyone have any ideas what might be causing the long delay please? Oddly enough it's the same at Restart too - attempting a restart closes any open apps in the usual way and then sits there for 60s plus before actually rebooting. Thanks...
