Late 2013 Macbook Pro Retina ultra-slow wifi on Ventura
Hi everybody I've had this late 2013 Macbook Pro Retina since, well, 2013 - and have been using it basically every day since. The discrete Nvidia GT 750M graphics do cause a little bit of headache to get opencore to work, but I've always been able to run the latest MacOS. But lately I've noticed that my wifi is ultra slow on MacOS Ventura. Network settings shows it's connected on 802.11ac at 1,300mbps - but speed tests rarely go over 10mbps. It's taking an hour to download the latest opencore patcher. Even if I switch to my iphone's hotspot - the speed is the same. By comparison, I used to get ~400mbps on speed tests on this same macbook on the same wifi setup at my house. I understand this is the hackintosh/mac-on-pc subreddit, but this is what came up when I tried to find opencore discussion forums. Info from system report: Software Versions: CoreWLAN: 16.0 (1657) CoreWLANKit: 16.0 (1657) Menu Extra: 17.0 (1728) System Information: 15.0 (1502) IO80211...
Fenvi T919 Bluetooth drops instantly
Hi Everyone, I have a Fenvi T919 installed with Ventura running smoothly (i5-13600K/B660M DDR4/RX 5700) but can't get a stable bluetooth connection with any device, tried basic mac products both mouse and keyboard with full batteries, they work for about 15 seconds before losing its connection. If I play around with the buttons it'll come back only to repeat the same thing. Here are my kexts: Lilu.kext VirtualSMC.kext AppleALC.kext USBInjectAll.kext VirtualSMC.kext/Contents/Plugins/SMCProcessor.kext WhateverGreen.kext XHCI-unsupported.kext (No Executable Path indicated) BrcmBluetoothInjector.kext (No Executable Path indicated) BlueToolFixup.kext I've been trying to find info on Dortania but right now I'm at a loss. Someone wrote changing the antenna would make a difference, but since the Wi-Fi is working fine, I'm not so sure. If anyone can point me to a direction I'd greatly appreciate it. I'm willing to read/learn, do whatever I have to do to g...
LattePanda 3 Delta Hackintosh
I’ve recently bought a LattePanda 3 delta that I will use as my daily driver. I’m hoping I could install macOS in it but haven’t seen anyone done it yet. Most of what I saw is the one for LattePanda Alpha. I’m curious if anyone here has been able to install it in the LattePanda 3 Delta? submitted by /u/_gmm [link] [comments] [► Source]

Trackpad stop working after sleep
I'm running macOS Monterey on HP EliteBook 820 G2 with PS2 trackpad. The trackpad is very responsive and multitouch gestures working properly. But when I wake my laptop from sleep, the trackpad stop functioning until I restart the machine. How do I fix that? Kexts I'm using: VoodooPS2controller VoodooRMI VoodooSMBus If I remove the last two kexts, touchpad still works after sleep but it's very sluggish. submitted by /u/KVyDavid [link] [comments] [► Source]

From Clover to Opencore, do I have to reset/delete NVRAM and is it safe to do?
Right now I am sitting on "MacOS Big Sur" Clover Everything works fine, system is usable. But I saw that Opencore is better than Clover. So I decided to move to Opencore and update to "macOS Monterey". After a reading a guide I saw that Opencore requires to resetting NVRAM after using Clover. I found that for someone Opencore after Clover works fine without resetting NVRAM. I am afraid of resetting VRAM, because I read that for some people BIOS stop seeing UEFI Boot drives. Maybe one of you who using NUC or have experience with that, or can give some recommendations. I will be very thankful to see answers! submitted by /u/Fast-Assistance761 [link] [comments] [► Source]
i3 10100F and RX 5500 XT for hackintosh
Hi all! I am completely new to this, so I want to ask the experts if I can install hackintosh on this build: i3 10100F RX 5500 XT MSI H510M-A PRO HyperX Fury DDR4 16GB NVME SSD WD Blue 250GB What are the nuances or problems with this build? Also I would like to get some advice about graphics cards. At the moment I have GTX 1650 SUPER which to my knowledge is not suitable for MacOS and I thought the best solution would be to buy RX 5500 XT because it's pretty cheap and I don't need powerful graphics card (PC for programming). So, should I buy RX 5500 XT or buy another graphics card? Will this build work? submitted by /u/shlychkin [link] [comments] [► Source]

About AMD RX 580 8G

AMD I2C controller support kext possible?
Hey, I just hackintoshed my AMD APU laptop a few days ago, and i'm wondering if there's any documentation on the i2c controller for AMD, it seems that a couple people like Nooted (Creator of whatevered/Nootedred) and hikaruchang(on github) have attempted to create a branch of the official voodooinput kext and tried to make a functional AMD controller kext. I know Nooted is still working on their kext (if you check the history, the last edit was a couple months ago, but considering the leaps and strides made on Nootedred, it makes sense), but I wanted to explore the topic myself. If anyone ever finds out any details, please tell me, thx! submitted by /u/jeyeyeyyeeeyeye [link] [comments] [► Source]

Laptop Input Drivers
Hi there! I've sucessfully installed MacOS ventura on a Lenovo Ideapad, got bluetooth, battery and keyboard working. However the trackpad is completely broken and I've had to resort to using an apple magic mouse (lol) to actually use it. The trackpad is an Elan469d and it uses I2C according to Linux (dmesg). I've tried every I2C and Non-I2C input driver you could imagine in every single configuration and it has never once worked. The keyboard also identifies as the same model and says it uses I2C, But in MacOS it works without the I2C kexts. I'm kind of stuck since I've tried everything I can think of. Has anyone encountered this sort of issue? Have I missed something extremely obvious? Help would be very much appreciated :) submitted by /u/ChisNullStR [link] [comments] [► Source]

Optiplex 7010 USFF Install Issues
Hi All Followed the Opencore guide in an attempt to get BigSur up and running on my 7010 USFF (3770S, 16GB, DW1550 Wifi/BT Card) with the attached EFI. I'm pretty sure ive set things up properly, but it is my first time trying out opencore. Installer USB boots, runs for a few seconds worth of scrolling text, and then the system restarts. Tried to capture pictures of the text, but it moves very quickly. I've tried googling some of the messages to no avail. Looking for any insight at... Read more Author: greyham_666 [► Source]
MacOS ventura on Dell Vostro 5590 NEED HELP!
Okay, this is all new to me. had to install reddit just for this community. I recently installed Ventura on my Dell Vostro 5590 and it's been nothing but pain since then. I have no one to help with troubleshooting. The Ventura is running but in about shows only 7mb, as u can imagine is gets really laggy on opening animations. I can not use my laptops keyboard and mouse, keyboard works sometimes and just stops ..have to switch to externals. No Bluetooth and WiFi. Installed the Bluetooth kexts and now the Mac takes ages to boot..so went back to EFI from the bootable. Opencore shows 0.8.8 (firstly was 0.7.7) but when I make any changes to the config.plist using occ I get kernal panic all the time. Just enabling any kind of kext. So now I can't fix the keyboard, Bluetooth and other issues. Anyone know how I can fix this?
