Has anyone experienced any issue with installing these? I am trying to create and app in xtools and I need both of these in order to create it. I cannot seem to update beyond the default install of Ruby which cocoapods has a dependency with. Has anyone else experienced this? Any workarounds? Solutions? Im frustrated that my old/working/functional iPad mini 2 and iPad are both totally functional, but forced obsolete. Is there a legacy patcher or equivalent that any of you know about? I know it is not directly related to OCLP but i guess OCLP developpers have the requested skills to fullfill my request, or should i say, many users request : Add back FireWire support to macOS FireWire is now old, but it is also still widely used by musicians essentially who where suddenly forced to abandon FireWire devices without notice, the day Apple decided to stop FireWire Support. Since i will be upgrading my Mac Pro 5,1 with Opencore soon, I Will have to leave my Focusrite saffire pro 24DSP behind ,seeing as I cant find a solution online to keep firewire working. what is the best audio interface to work with a Mac pro 5,1 to continue using logic or a work around to keep the interface working on Big Sur and beyond? Apologies as I've seen this cover before but haven't had any luck with a fix. Using iMac 27 inch late 2013. Trying to go from Cataline to Monterey. Followed all the instructions: Select model 14,2 (and tried 14,3) Create installer and load to an external hard drive Build/install OC and install onto same external hard drive Follow option to reboot, hold opt, and get to the boot screen. Hey, I got a MacBook 12" 2017. It's not the fastest, but i'm curious to people's experience with Sequioa on here. Is it recommended, or is it a too heavy load on the system compared to Ventura? Also, I haven't used OCLP before. What can I expect; would it work as good as if Apple supported it natively, or will there be functions not working properly / warnings from Apple / etc? I don't want to have an experience that feels like a hackintosh where everything works but feels just ... not exactly right If that is the case, I prefer some older software instead. I also use iCloud photos heavily (external SSD with the library on it). Will this work, or is iCloud blocked from these OCLP installs, as Apple detects it? Dear all, I am trying to install Big Sur on a MacBook Pro 6,2 (15 inch, mid-2010). I have downloaded OCLP 2.2.0, but it doesn't mention BigSur when building a USB boot stick. What is the latest version that supports BigSur?? Would it be better to use 2.2.0 and install Ventura or Sonoma on the system? Any advice or comments would be useful. I updated my Mac pro 2013 to Sonoma with open core yet whenever I open an application, the screen turns red and then either crashes the application, or logs me out and freezes everything. What do I do to fix this issue?? I mean worst case I can just delete the data from the drive and then reinstall macros Monterey but I don't want to do that. I recently got this Late 2009 iMac (iMac10,1) and of course the first thing I wanted to do was to patch it to something newer than High Sierra. As I had had no issues with Big Sur and OCLP in the past, i decided to go ahead with that. It seems like the latest version of OCLP, 2.2.0, doesn't play nicely with Big Sur. What should I do? Super greatful to the OpenCoreLegacyPatcher team. Everything has been great since I installed it in October, followed the guides installed root patches etc. Running on a 2.9Ghz i7 with 16GB ram and 256GB SSD. Installed Sequoia 15.0.1 on a new hard drive and it's worked flawlessly and given the laptop a new lease of life. I'm running 2 monitors with a Thunderbolt to VGA adapter. Occasionally, after booting, the default animated sequoia trees in the background will appear then disappear and the machine will remain usable, it will not correct itself on reboot. Through reading reddit, googling etc I've found a fix which is to open the legacy patcher and reinstall the 'post -install root patch', this always fixes the problem, sometimes the patcher reports an error so I try again until it's fixed, on successful completion and reboot everything works as expected.
