Hey, I installed iatkos l2 from USB using chameleon bootloader, I choose NVenabler under VGA I did make sure that graphic enabler was off and after the installation is over with success the computer boots into the system starts the intro music and than get stuck and shows me the kernel panic screen. Friends, ML2 installed on my machine with the following configuration. I7 3.0 Processor Motherboard Gigabyte GA-58XA-UD3R. Ram Memory 12 GB DDR3 2000. triple channel. Sansung HD 160 GB Sata. Asus DVD optical. Well, I made several facilities to see if the crash was recognized that the reader gives error (-7012). I installed Roxio Tost 10 and some DVD Player and swapped the optical, but also gives the plumb error. Googled some tips I saw but did nothing, waiting for some response from you. Hi everyone, I'm struggling to get my retail copy of SL to boot from the installer DVD. Any advice is much appreciated! I should note: I created an image of it and restored it to an 8gb usb stick via Disk Utility with a 128mb partition containing Chameleon 2.1r2069. This is because I have no optical drive for the machine I am installing to. Chameleon runs fine (of course) so I select the SL install partition and run with -v to see where it is stopping. It loads the legacy kernel (which was recommended in prior reading) but then stalls without further messages. My hardware: GA-Z68X-UD5-B3 4x4GB Corsair Vengance 1600 RAM AMD Radeon 6670 Core i7 2700K 650W PSU The only thing left that I can think of is fiddle with things in org.chameleon.Boot.plist. Please help! Has anyone with this hardware setup done this before? Do I need to: a) Keep persisting with a USB stick install, or b) Pull out the SATA drive I want to install to, mount it in a caddy and install SL from my old macbook laptop...

Hi. I have a ThinkPad X41, and I am trying to install Snow Leopard on it. It's hardware is very similar to the super-popular Dell Inspiron 6000. Specs are as follows. 1.5Ghz Intel Pentium M 400MHz FSB GMA 900 2.5GB DDR2 400MHz AC97 Audio something. ICH6 I managed to get snow leopard booting with a legacy kernel, as well as the non-ahci kext that came with nawcom's boot CD, and chameleon 2.1. However, after booting up, when it brings up the GUI, I get a white/grey screen. I've tried booting with GraphicsEnabler=No/Yes, -f -x and UseKernelCache=No with no avail. I should also mention that -s works just fine and brings me into the single-user mode. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks. Hi, I'm hoping to perhaps make contact with information regarding getting my Atheros AR9462 chipset to properly work. As of my latest attempt my atheros and atheros21 chipset is not being recognized and thus the process is being aborted by mac (I don't remember the verbatim error produced, it's a com.apple.kextd error however if that helps). I'm fairly certain the problem comes down to the kexts I'm using not being compatible with the Atheros AR9462. I've tried to add in the correct id to the kexts but this also has not worked. Hello, I have two questions. 1) So I am making a script to mount my external shares. One share is the NAS and one is an USB disk on the router with the Samba capability. The script is a simple one: do shell script "mount -t smbfs //login:pass@<path to NAS> /<path to mount folder>" Executing the above on the NAS works great. Executing it on the USB disk (which is actually a samba share) doesn't work. I checked like 20 times for mistakes, but I see none. It says "No such file or directory" However, when I go to the Finder, "Connect to Server", and type in smb://router, it connects without a question. Pulls the info from the keychain also. Why is one Samba share working (NAS) and the other doesn't (router). 2) I turned on samba sharing on OSX, and I can access the shares from other windows computers correctly and also log into shares properly. However, I own a QNAP NMP-1000P media player, and it won't access the shares properly, no mat...

Hi folks, Here is my device list: diskutil list output (the screenshot above is slightly outdated cause I renamed "Windows NTFS" to "WindowsNEW" but this is not the point): in the /Extra/org.chameleon.Boot.plist I put the following lines: <key>Hide Partition</key> <string>hd(1,1) hd(1,2) hd(2,3) hd(2,2)</string> However chameleon is still showing me all the partitions. I've tried to mess up with this parameters by specifying volume names and specifying only one disk/partition. I bet this is a pretty common problem with Hackintosh installations, but mine is intermittent and it didn't do this before! :) I have 10.8 ML installed and updated, running perfectly on a Dell Optiplex 960, 6 GB RAM, with nVidia 8600 GTS graphics. What a sweet little machine. Just a few days ago I noticed I was getting this black screen, after you see the Apple icon on the light gray background. Then the black screen appears, and the monitor throws an error message: No Video. I'm running an iATKOS installation, if that's of any importance. If I keep restarting the machine, eventually the OS will load and I can get to a log-in screen. For some reason, the nVidia driver is not being loaded, but I don't know why and it wasn't a problem before. (You can tell when the video driver gets loaded - the graphics card fan spins down to an idle. When the machine is booting it spins FAST.) Can anyone tell me what's causing this? Hello everyone, Simple question: how do I turn off stepping in OSX? Windows listens to my BIOS. OSX apparently doesn't. Things that might help: HW: Asus P8Z77-V Pro + 2600K @ 4.8Ghz OSX: custom SSDT installed, Chameleon BL, P/C states off, Drop SSDT activated, SMBios iMac13,2, working fine switching between x16 and x48 (I would however prefer better speedstep, more "inbetween"). Hello. I've recently installed osx 10.6.2 and I install it with the voodooHDA option and the sound seems to work fine until I install my xfx radeon hd 4850 kexts. I don't understand why it stops working after that but no audio device is recognized but voodoo seems to be installed. even tried several different versions. Hi a few months back I installed moutinlion on my pc and its been greateverything worked oot box. However today I plugged in a second hard-drive inside my pc to find out if it is faulty which it was. When I removed it and tried to boot my mac I get the error below. boot:0 GPT boot:0 test boot:0 test boot:0 test boot1: error At this point it stops and stays on that screen, in order for me to boot now I insert my usb stick recovery which I used to install mac and then select my os from the options it gives when booted. The default was macpro early 2008, but I did set it to imac 13.2 with Cameleon Wizard. After that OSX only shows the OSX disk in the devices section of finder. It does not see my ntfs and exfat partitions anymore and also fat32 and exfat formated usb drives dont show up anymore in finder. When I put a fat formated usb drive in the slot I can see it in the Hardware section under USB, so OSX sees the disk it just does not read fat or ntfs anymore. Any ideas how to fix this and keep the imac 13.2 settings?
